It’s the holiday season in Hollywood Studios, which means retro decorations, delicious treats, and a dinosaur wearing a Santa hat. We like to keep up with everything new in the parks, so let’s see what’s new in Hollywood Studios!
Disney recently announced big plans to transform Disneyland’s Toontown area.

Toontown is currently scheduled to close in March 2022 and reopen in early 2023 with a new ride and a fully reimagined space. In the meantime, we’ve learned a bit more about one of the most special parts of the new Toontown — and Walt Disney fans will want to hear this.

Although the high price tag gave us all some sticker shock, Disney World’s Galactic Starcruiser, aka the Star Wars Hotel, sounds like it might be an AMAZING experience for Star Wars fans.

This isn’t just a hotel stay — it’s an interactive experience where everything you do affects the entire ship, where you can train with LIGHTSABERS, see a host of characters straight out of a galaxy far, far away, and spend some time eating some fun space-themed food and enjoying some unique entertainment. Disney Genie launched in Disney World in October, and today it’s Disneyland’s turn!

We’ve been in the parks trying out both the free Genie and paid Genie+ and although all was well at first, we learned pretty quickly that things were going downhill. Check out what we’ve experienced so far today all before noon!

But, sometimes those snacks need a bit of improvement, in our opinion. We’ve added Dole Whip to churros to make a sundae, made an EXTRA cheesy Mickey Pretzel, and even made that blue milk taste better in Galaxy’s Edge! And, we have a NEW snack hack for you to try out in EPCOT!
Although some things at Disney World that once were free aren’t free anymore, you can still score a few freebies here and there around the resort.

For example, you can still get free water at some food locations, free transportation around the resort, and free Wi-Fi. And now, for a limited time, you can also get something else free at Disney World — just in time for the holidays!
If you’re planning on being in Disney World during New Year’s Eve you’ll have quite a few different festive options to check out.
