One of Disney’s largest fan events has brought us a LOT of exciting news this morning including some about Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, Disney World’s Star Wars hotel that opens in March. We got a peek at the lightsaber experience and more, AND we know a little bit more about one of the hotel’s characters!

It’s an exciting event that usually gives us some big news or sneak peeks at upcoming Disney projects. We’ve already learned about an updated stage show returning to Disney World, when Avengers Campus will open at Disneyland Paris, and got the opening timeline for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT! And now, we have a sneak peek of the new Disney Vacation Club tower being added to the Disneyland Hotel!
Remember that video from months ago that teased some new Disney Imagineering tech for characters? It looked like a human-controlled mechanical puppet, and the internet (or at least us Disney people) went crazy! Well, during Disney’s D23 event, we got some more information on this new technology, officially called “Project EXO.” (Even the NAME is cool!)
