We’ve seen a TON of things return to Disney World this year!
You can meet Mickey again!
Restaurants have reopened, pre-shows came back, and there are even modified character meet and greets again. But, some things still haven’t come back, like the Cirque du Soleil shows in Disney Springs. The new show, Drawn to Life, was set to officially debut in Spring 2020, but then Disney World was shut down and the show was put on hold. But now, the show is finally about to be available — opening night is this Thursday, November 18th! And, one sweet spot in Disney Springs is celebrating with a NEW dessert.

The holiday season has officially arrived in Disneyland Resort which means that there is SO 👏 MUCH 👏 NEW 👏 FOOD 👏 TO 👏 TRY!
There’s nothing quite like a classic Mickey Santa Cookie on Main Street, U.S.A.
And, this year we aren’t messing around with your average milk and cookies, we’re trying everything from Peppermint Beignets, to GIANT Peppermint Milkshakes, to CHURRO Funnel Cakes, and more! But, with all the specialty snacks at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure PLUS all of the eats and drinks for the Festival of Holidays, how can you possibly keep track of everything you’d like to try? We gotchu!

In Animal Kingdom, you’ll find Santa on a boat. In Hollywood Studios, Santa appears in a special motorcade. You can also spot him during Very Merriest After Hours in Magic Kingdom, and Santa will soon arrive in EPCOT. But, what if you don’t have a park ticket? Well, you could still see Santa if you follow some special steps!

Decorations are up in the parks, hotels, and Disney Springs, the first night of Disney Very Merriest After Hours was last week, and we just learned ALL of the food coming for EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays later this month. It’s an exciting time to be at Disney World if you’re a fan of the festive season. We’ve also seen some fun merchandise being released, and we just found a new sipper that is sure to bring you some holiday cheer!

PLASTIC CHEESE!
In case you’re not familiar with this magical condiment, plastic cheese is what you can get alongside your Mickey pretzels, fries, and corn dog nuggets at some restaurants in Disney World. It’s essentially the basic melted cheese you get at ballparks and other sporting events with your nachos. But in the parks it must be mixed with pixie dust, because it is AMAZING. If you’re a big fan of Disney snacks, then you’re in good company here at DFB! We’ve been snacking our way through the parks for years now, and it turns out that we’re not the only ones that scream louder for plastic cheese than we do while riding Tower of Terror.

And, Disney has been creating merchandise for all the Disney foodie fans out there (like us) for years now. We’ve seen purses that look like a Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich, designer bracelets with Dole Whip, backpacks that SMELL like popcorn, and even entire kitchen collections covered in iconic snacks. And, if your favorite meal at Disney World is breakfast, then we’ve got some news for you!

The festivities officially started on Friday, November 12th, with the first Disney Merriest Nites After Hours event in Disneyland Park. Festival of Holidays is also going on at Disney California Adventure, with a ton of fun holiday food, entertainment, and more! In addition to these events, Disneyland also has a bunch of new seasonal treats you can try out on your trip, including a classic Mickey shaped sweet with a twist!
