One of the joys of living near Disney World are those quick one-night trips! Booking a short stay at a hotel and hitting up the parks for a day or two is a fun time for folks who live nearby.

However, those quick one-off trips are about to get a lot harder for most of the remainder of the year.
There was a TON of Magic Kingdom news in the last few days, but fear not! That’s why we’re here keeping up with all the latest Disney news for you.

Without further ado, let’s get into what’s new in Magic Kingdom!
One of the ways Disney accommodates guests with special needs is through their Disability Access Service, or DAS for short. Normally, guests would visit Guest Relations in the theme parks in order to sign up for DAS, which allows guests who have difficulty tolerating extended waits in conventional queues the ability to to book return times for rides and attractions.

We learned earlier this year that Disney would be launching new services to make the DAS experience more convenient, including an online chat feature and the ability to pre-register. Starting today, guests looking to add DAS to their upcoming vacation may do so ahead of their trip online, saving valuable time once in the parks!

He is the heart and soul of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, largely due to Johnny Depp’s portrayal of the character. This lead to a large film franchise and him being added into the famous ride at the Disney parks. But, what if someone else had played Jack Sparrow? Well, that almost happened, and you’ll never guess which famous actor turned down the role!
Are you heading to EPCOT soon? There’s lots to see and do, from the brand-new fireworks spectacular Harmonious to the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, which is still running through November 20th!

There has even been some new happenings since our last check-in, so let’s take a moment to roundup the latest findings around the park!
We’ve seen some PRETTY big crowds recently as Disney World’s 50th anniversary has brought plenty of friends and families to the parks.
