Hello, DFB friends!
We’ve been enjoying the holiday season at Disney World, what with all the decorations, the FOOD (of course, the food!), and fun holiday merchandise. But what else has been going on at Magic Kingdom lately? Well, let’s find out!
The holidays are coming up fast in Disneyland and Disney World.
We’ve already been to the holiday after hours events in both theme parks (Merriest Nites in Disneyland and Very Merriest After Hours in Disney World), and Festival of Holidays has arrived in Disney California Adventure. Now it’s been confirmed that one of the most popular holiday events is RETURNING to Disneyland. [Read more…]
Welcome back to another roundup of what’s new at EPCOT!
EPCOT is gearing up to start the Festival of the Holidays next week, so in the meantime, we’re checking out the latest merchandise finds as well as checking in on our favorite rides!
Disney loves taking advantage of new technology to change how guests experience the parks.
The My Disney Experience app allows you to do things like look at wait times, maps, menus, and more. And now, with Disney Genie on the app, it can even plan your day for you! Another feature of the app is Disney MagicMobile. This system acts as your ticket and allows you to enter the theme parks, lets you connect Disney PhotoPass images to your account, and gets you into the Lightning Lanes of rides (if you’re using Genie+). And now, MagicMobile has added a new feature!
New Year’s Eve is a VERY busy time at Disney World — who doesn’t want to ring in the New Year with Mickey Mouse and Friends? And who doesn’t want to indulge in some fun New Year’s snacks?
But now that we have park pass reservations, getting into the parks on New Year’s Eve can be tricky unless you planned way ahead — those park pass reservations can fill up FAST.
To ensure we are equipping our readers with all the information they need, we will continue to report on all travel, safety, and COVID-related news that could impact a Disney Parks visit.
Late last month, Shanghai Disneyland temporarily re-closed in order to “cooperate with the pandemic investigation in other provinces and cities.” The closure wound up lasting through November 2nd, and the resort has since reopened.
Now, another international Disney park has temporarily re-close due to COVID-19.
Update: Bob Chapek has commented on why he is not attending the event this year. You can see that here.
This weekend is Destination D23 — an event put on by Disney’s Official Fan Club.
This is where Disney fans can be the first to hear exciting announcements and news about upcoming projects, get sneak peeks of upcoming TV shows and movies, and more! It will be held at the Contemporary Resort at Disney World and is completely sold out. But, there will be some livestreams you can tune in to! There are usually special guest speakers at the event, but we just learned that one well known Disney executive will no longer be in attendance.
All good things must come to an end…even DISCOUNTS.
A Disney World vacation can be expensive, which is why we’re always on the lookout for discounts and deals to share with you to help you save those hard-earned bucks. Now, one of those discounts is coming to an end and we want you to get it while you still can!
The Disney Cruise Line resumed sailings this past summer, and they’ve been updating policies and requirements for guests ever since.
We’ve seen changes to the cancellation and refund policies, cruise itineraries, and vaccine requirements. Now, there’s been a BIG change to the vaccine requirements for guests hoping to set sail soon.
Disney World’s 50th anniversary has come with a lot of new merchandise!
We’ve seen a bunch of Minnie Ears, several different collections, and special things like popcorn buckets and balloons. One of those items was the 50th Anniversary Celebration Minnie Mouse Sipper. It was in Magic Kingdom on October 1st, but quickly sold out. Now, it’s coming back to the park, but in an unusual way.
