Arguably, the most popular and sought-out park for visitors is the Magic Kingdom. Not only is it the original Disney World park, but it is also iconic for Cinderella Castle and, of course, the nightly fireworks show. Although many people love to visit the Magic Kingdom, we asked our readers why they may consider skipping it when they visit.Â

Cinderella Castle
At the beginning of the week, Disney announced closure dates for parts of DinoLand, U.S.A., a yearlong closure for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom, a delayed opening timeline for The Little Mermaid show in Hollywood Studios, and the return of the Jingle Cruise holiday overlay. We covered all those announcements in a roundup earlier this week, but then Disney decided to surprise us all with even MORE news!

While we are all about wanting to find ways to save money during our Disney World vacations, some perks are worth the splurge!
Magic Kingdom
For example, you can splurge on a Deluxe Resort to take advantage of Extended Evening Hours, where on select nights each week, one of the parks stays open two hours past park close. Or if you are staying at a Value Resort like Art of Animation Resort or Pop Century Resort, the difference between a standard and preferred room is around a $25 up-charge, depending on the time of year, which can really make your trip easier! There is one perk that anyone can purchase, regardless of if they are staying at a Disney World resort, and we think it is totally worth the $185.
Disney has always had a pretty big showing at the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City.

We’ve previously scene floats devoted to Disney Cruise Line ships, as well as balloons dedicated to characters like Grogu from Star Wars (aka Baby Yoda). We’ve even seen a performance by the cast of The Lion King on Broadway to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary in 2022. However, this year, we will see a FIRST for Disney in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade: a balloon devoted to Minnie Mouse.
As a reporter here at DFB, I’ve spent a LOT of time in Disney World restaurants.
EPCOT
Not only do I grab lunch at quick service restaurants frequently when I’m in the parks, but I’ve also done full reviews of dozens of quick service restaurants, snack stands, and table service restaurants for my job. In fact, by my tally, I’ve eaten at over 150 Disney World restaurants to date. And with all those meals in Disney World, I’ve developed some pretty strong opinions!
Yes, we’re about to tell you ALL OVER AGAIN how much we love Karamell-Küche in the Germany Pavilion in EPCOT.

Seriously, though, if you’ve followed us for a while, you know that some of our favorite Disney World treats come from this candy shop. We literally CHEERED when the Gingerbread Salted Caramel Buttercream Cookie Sandwich made its glorious return recently. The Werthers Caramel Popcorn here ALWAYS slaps. And the Caramel Butter Bar is one of our all-time favorite snacks to eat. So let’s talk about that Butter Bar, Karamell-Küche just offered a new version of it…and y’all, we might have to admit it’s EVEN BETTER (if that’s even possible).
There are a lot of decisions to make when you go to Disney World, and one of them is what in the world to wear.
Hollywood Studios
That may not seem important in the grand scheme of things, but it IS! Being uncomfortable on your trip is the worst, especially if it’s because you made the decision to pack something you thought would be comfortable, but now very much isn’t. We’re in Disney World every single day, and that means we’ve seen (and experienced!) a lot of clothing choices made that made us go “oh no…” — here’s how to avoid meeting the same fate!
Okay, parents, we know your kids have their good clothes that they don’t play in and their clothes that they play in. That’s just how it works.
Disney snacks make everyone happy
However, your kids don’t have to wear unfashionable clothes when they want to have a little fun in the sandbox. We’re just going to say it: Halloween in Disneyland just HITS a certain way. It’s our favorite holiday to celebrate in the parks.
It’s Halloween!
First, Oogie Boogie Bash is one of our favorite parties of the year. Then you’ve got the AMAZING Halloween decorations throughout the parks (hello, massive Mickey pumpkin!). Plus, Haunted Mansion Holiday is a MUST when visiting during spooky season. We’re obviously not the only folks who think so, though. Recently, two BIG celebrities also celebrated a little Halloween Time in Disneyland.
