Disney World’s 50th Anniversary brought a LOT of new and delicious snacks to the parks and resorts.

We tried sparkly Dole Whips, GIANT ice cream sundaes, lots of classic treats that got 50th-themed updates, and so much more. Basically, our tongues were VERY blue from all of the treats we tried. There’s one delicious treat that you won’t find in the four theme parks at Disney World, and it’s got a bonus feature: there’s no blue dye involved at all!
Even though many new offerings arrived at Disney World this week, there are still several things to come!
Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser
We’re anticipating the completion of the EPCOT transformation, watching the construction progress on the Tron coaster, and hoping to visit Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana ASAP. However, one thing that we HAVE experienced is Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser!
Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration is now in full swing, and this event will last a whopping 18 months.
Disney Enchantment
Disney has changed a lot for the 50th anniversary, including new fireworks shows, new nighttime Disney Park icon lighting, and LOTS of new merchandise. They’re also making a big change to a smaller Disney World item, and it may be your new favorite Disney souvenir.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will be opening on March 1, 2022 at Walt Disney World!

The hotel is going to be completely immersive, with characters, storylines, and activities to make you feel like you’re actually in the world of Star Wars. Much of this is included in the cost of your stay, but there will be other experiences you can add on, and we just learned the cost of one special experience!
