Welcome back to Walt Disney World!
Last week, we noticed wait times were down significantly compared to earlier in August, so let’s see if the trend is continuing! Here’s a look at all the average wait times in Disney World from this week!
It seems like every week we have another restaurant reopening at Disney World!
Recently we have been able to enjoy the reopening of restaurants such as Boma and Victoria Falls Lounge, as well as the return of breakfast to Cinderella’s Royal Table. But today, we spent some time over in EPCOT for another restaurant reopening! [Read more…]
If you’re headed to Disney World this fall, you’ll need to know some important things!
First, don’t forget to make your park pass reservations and familiarize yourself with the My Disney Experience app. Second, make sure you know the park hours — and we’ve got you covered for trips up through early November!
We’re heading into the final weeks of summer (even though Halloween is already in full force at Disney World!), and while we must say goodbye to the month of August, we’ll use our fond farewell as an opportunity to look back on all of our favorite (and…not so favorite) things we ate in the parks and resorts!
That’s right, we’re back with another monthly roundup of the best and worst things we had in Disney World for the month of August. This month brought us fall-themed treats and a TON of new Food and Wine booths, so there was no shortage of food and drink items to try!
Things are constantly changing in Disney World. Things are also constantly changing in the world outside of the Most Magical Place on Earth, which can impact rules and regulations in the parks.
Not too long ago, Disney World updated its mask rules, Orange County, Florida (where part of Disney World is located) ended its state of emergency, and other changes have been made. All of that got us wondering whether some of you out there, our fabulous DFB readers, have decided to change your 2021/2022 Disney World plans, or if you’re still going forward with your trip. So, we reached out to you all, and here’s what thousands of you said.
When it comes to hotels, Disney World offers something for everyone — and there are SO many great hotels to choose from at a variety of price points. And then you’ve got even more hotels on Disney World property that aren’t owned by Disney, like the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin.
One of the newest hotels to arrive at Disney World is the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve. This hotel is located next to the Swan and Dolphin, putting it super close to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Reservations initially opened up for the hotel in February, with an opening date of July 2021.
Although we spend a lot of time at Disney World’s parks, we also love hanging out at Disney Springs.
Disney Springs is home to SO many great restaurants, including all the cookies, donuts, and gelato we could ever want to eat. But Disney Springs also has some restaurants and bars with some FABULOUS drinks!
September is a great time to visit Disney World this year!
Kids are back in school, the weather should cool off a little, and you’ll beat the crowds coming in for the big 50th anniversary in October! And, there are some exciting new things to look forward to happening this month that we want to tell you allllll about. These are the BEST things to do in Disney World in September!
Who doesn’t love fun souvenirs from Disney World?
Some of our favorite souvenirs are those that have Mickey on them, because, he IS the mouse that started it all. We’ve seen just about everything like a Mickey t-shirt, mug, hat, balloon, and popcorn bucket. But there are two really pretty souvenirs that we’ve been eyeing that have been out of stock for a little while — but it turned back up at Disney World TODAY.
Disney has been changing a lot of things lately.
Annual Passholders no longer get free MagicBands, there is a whole new FastPass system, and After Hours events have replaced the usual holiday parties. One thing that’s been missing since Disney reopened last year is Extra Magic Hours. Disney recently announced new perks to replace the extra time in the parks, but only select hotel guests have access to the extended hours in the evenings. However, there will soon be another place to stay that will allow you full access to this perk!
