October 1st is a HUGE day for Disney World!
Not only does it mark the start of the 50th Anniversary celebrations for Disney World, but new attractions, restaurants, and experiences are opening at the parks on that day! Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is set to officially open on October 1st, but Disney has been offering previews for select groups of guests. Registration has already opened for the Annual Passholder preview (which is now sold out) and the preview being held for Disney Vacation Club Members, but tickets are now on sale for another group of Disney fans!
When Disney World reopened last summer after the closures, many things did not return with it.
Things like FastPass+, the Disney Dining Plan, and Extra Magic Hours were stopped, some indefinitely. Disney announced earlier this summer that a version of Extra Magic Hours would be coming back — Extended Evening Hours. The two are similar, but have some major differences. For example, while Extra Magic Hours were available to all Disney World hotel guests, Extended Evening Hours can only be used by guests at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts. We already have some of the dates for the extended hours in October, but we just got even MORE!
Magic Kingdom’s BOO Bash is the brand new After Hours Halloween party that might set you back nearly $1000 to take the whole family if you choose the wrong date.
So, is this three-hour pricey night worth your time? We were there the very first night to get all the answers for you!
Disney World may be the Most Magical Place on Earth, but sometimes things happen that you might not expect.
Rides can break down or experience technical issues, sometimes for extended periods of time; you may need to be evacuated off of a ride vehicle; or weather can cause complications. Today, the beloved Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover appeared to be experiencing some issues.

Discounted Disney merchandise is the BEST Disney merchandise, are we right or are we right?
We like to keep an eye on Disney deals across the internet and throughout the parks, because it’s a pretty great feeling when a Loungefly or T-Shirt you’ve been eyeing goes on sale. Every week, we take a look at Amazon to find the best deals on Disney merchandise, and it’s that time again RIGHT NOW! These are the best Disney deals on Amazon right now.
More and more things are returning to Walt Disney World, including runDisney events!
The Wine and Dine Half Weekend is back this Fall, the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will take place in January 2022, and the Disney Princess Half Marathon is returning in February of 2022. And a new special event during Princess Half Marathon Weekend will get you ready to start your race day!
There is a lot going on at EPCOT!
The park is undergoing a huge transformation that includes new restaurants, rides, stores, and attractions. Part of the transformation includes a new nighttime fireworks show called Harmonious. We’ve seen the barges in the World Showcase Lagoon over the past few months and we recently got a first look at the show! And now, we have details about the music for Harmonious!
As we get closer and closer to the start of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, we can’t help but wonder how busy the parks will be. Disney World has steadily increased park capacity following the closures leading up to the 18 month-long festivities, meaning there could be LOTS of fellow travelers looking to take part in the celebration.
Before we can get to the 50th Anniversary, however, we have to continue on with the month of August! There’s a lot to see and do right now, and if you have a vacation coming up next week, it might be a good idea to catch up on the latest park hours and Disney Park Pass Reservation availability.
There are a wide variety of hotels to pick from when planning your Disney World vacation. There are Disney owned and operated hotels, hotels like the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel that are on property but not run by Disney, off-property hotels, and more.
One of the newest hotels that will be coming soon to Disney World is the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve. This is a new hotel located next to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel and is set to feature some stellar views and more. Previously, the hotel was accepting reservations for dates starting on September 1st, but now things have been a bit delayed.
