We know that the Star Wars: Galactic Star Cruiser hotel will be a fully immersive experience where guests can be part of the story in a galaxy far, far away! As part of that adventure, guests will travel down to Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Today, we learned more details about how the theme park will tie into the experience!Â
We are so excited to have more details about the Galactic Starcruiser, aka Disney World’s Star Wars Hotel.

And now that we know the hotel will open in Spring 2022, we also have a TON of new details to share with you. And one of those details is all about the food you’ll eat while you stay there.
Face masks are back once again in Walt Disney World.

The change comes after the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention announced new mask recommendations and Orange County, Florida (where most of Disney World is located) declared a State of Emergency earlier this week. Disney World announced Wednesday that face masks would be required for ALL individuals when indoors, including when entering and throughout all attractions, starting today. We’re at the parks to take a first look at the mask policy in action.

We’ve shared a peek at a new poster that reveals some interesting details, and shared photos showing just what the hotel itself looks like right now. We’ve also heard about some of the dining experiences coming to the hotel and even marveled at the EPIC lightsaber that guests at the hotel will be able to see. One of the most exciting projects coming to Disney World has gotta be the upcoming Star Wars hotel — Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

The hotel will be more of an experience than a typical Disney resort and it will be unlike any other Disney destination in the entire world. Disney is actually calling the experience “storyliving” rather than storytelling! We’ve been closely keeping an eye on its construction, and looking for any updates about the incredibly immersive resort. Now, we finally have a better idea on when Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will open!
What’s the longest day you’ve ever had at Disney World?
We’ve spent quite a few hours in Disney World.
We’ve had some very tiring ones — festival opening days are particularly busy here at DFB, as well as any day that a new ride or land opens in the parks. And we’ve done the rope drop to park close thing more times than we can count! But, if you’re looking for a truly LONG day at Disney World…like the longest you can ACTUALLY pull off being in the parks right now…we’ve got a new challenge for you!
