When anyone ever asks me who my favorite CEO in the history of the Walt Disney Company is, I immediately go to Michael Eisner. Sure, he helped usher in the renaissance of Disney entertainment and pushed the parks forward, especially with his leadership amid the Disneyland Resort expansion, but as a kid growing up just minutes from Anaheim, he did so much more. Eisner had Disney dive into the sports sphere and, through several sports films and actual ownership of Anaheim sports franchises, Disney not only won over the hearts of kids from the Anaheim area but millennials all over the globe. While those days may be history, one Anaheim team is bringing the 90s into the 21st Century.

As I’m sure you remember, earlier this year we saw both Disney World and Disneyland do away with the Genie+ skip-the-line system and introduce Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass. But like I was saying, just when we really got the hang of this new system, Disney went ahead and introduced a whole new pass — Lightning Lane Premier Pass. After we recovered from the shock, we had a moment to check out the details and that’s when we noticed that this brand-new pass isn’t even out yet and there’s already one big problem with it!

While Lightning McQueen and his friends may have moved out of Hollywood Studios, they will eventually have another home in a different Disney World park!

This past August, at D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, it was announced that Disney World would be getting some significant upgrades, including eight new rides! Two of those new rides will be located in Magic Kingdom as part of a brand-new Cars expansion. While we are super excited for Cars to come to Magic Kingdom, we have some bad news about the rally race ride that will be part of this expansion.
