We know the event typically includes special shows like Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration!, as well as Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and the Holiday Fireworks spectacular: Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks! But this year, something NEW will be available during the party for the very first time.
It’s a great time to be a Disney World fan — there are just so many great new experiences around with more on the way!
Cinderella Castle
CommuniCore Hall and Plaza have officially opened in EPCOT, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be opening at the end of June, and we’ll soon be getting a new version of Country Bear Jamboree at Magic Kingdom. Not only that, but another classic Frontierland attraction is undergoing quite a renovation — and it’s now closed for good.Â
While there are lots of changes happening inside Disney World’s theme parks with Test Track’s retheming, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening, and so much more, there’s even MORE happening outside the park gates.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Fort Wilderness has been getting new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) cabins, and in December 2024, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will open their new DVC tower, built on the ground that housed Spirit of Aloha dinner show at the resort for decades. We asked our readers on Facebook if they’re planning on staying in the new tower, Island Tower, and we got a pretty strong response!

Disney just dropped a TON of news about what’s coming up around the parks and hotels during the holiday season this year. We’re talking Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, and Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios — yep, they’re all returning this year. And along with them, a whole lot of holiday souvenirs. Let’s check some out!

We now know that Jollywood Nights — a special ticketed holiday party that debuted in 2023 in Hollywood Studios — is coming back, we know that EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays will run Nov. 29th through Dec. 30th, and we’re excited about some shows like the Frozen Holiday Surprise in Magic Kingdom and the Holiday Projection Show in Hollywood Studios will be returning. And, of course, there’s the granddaddy of them all — Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom. We’ve got the dates and some information on pricing for the Very Merry Christmas Party…and, well, ticket prices are going UP (surprised? yeah, we aren’t either.).
