Extra, extra, read all about it! Seriously, we’re sure Disney World hasn’t had a wink of sleep because they’ve dropped so many new updates this week. If you’ve missed out, this is your chance to catch up!
I’m back again with another round of WHAT’S NEW UPDATES AT DISNEY WORLD, a rundown on all the epic news and updates that happened at Disney World this past week. This week, we got the 4-1-1 on not one, but TWO highly-anticipated attractions and a BRAND NEW souvenir available now! Are y’all ready? Okay, let’s go!
Calling all our food friends all across the galaxy! We have exciting news coming from Docking Bay 7!
Docking Bay 7 is the main quick service location in Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and it has a lot of interesting, unique eats for guests to enjoy. While that means it’s often not the greatest choice for picky eaters, adventurous eaters have a field day here! The menu is about to change, though as two new offerings are being added soon!
Close your eyes. Picture a tropical, relaxing hotel with tiki drinks and a gorgeous waterfront location. Are you picturing Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort? It’s a VERY popular Disney hotel, and for good reason! Just LOOK at it.
This resort is just a Monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom (and EPCOT!). It’s got an EPIC pool, TONS of great food options, and Magic Kingdom fireworks viewing locations. But soon, there will be even MORE reasons to visit this hotel. That’s right — a NEW part of the hotel will soon open. Let’s talk about it!
Picture this: it’s a bright, sunny day in Magic Kingdom. June 28th, to be exact. You arrived early enough to rope-drop the park, meaning you’re among the FIRST inside the park. What an honor!
OK, Cast Members are starting to let you make your way past Cinderella Castle. Where are you heading? Left? WRONG.
We have a confession: We’re addicted to Loungefly mini backpacks.
So here’s the thing. These mini backpacks are the perfect size for visiting the parks, and we’re in the parks every day. We need a place to put all our essentials, including our phone, water bottle, portable charger, snacks, sanitizing wipes, sunblock, and everything else you need for a day in Disney World. But Loungefly bags have a big problem: there’s no organization inside the bags at all. But we have a solution!
Not all Walt Disney World rides are created equal.
There are many types of Walt Disney World riders. Some may prefer state of the art coasters and thrill attractions, while others like slow-moving, heavily-themed ride experiences. No matter what kind you prefer, Disney World likely has something for you. However, there are some rides across the resort that wouldn’t elicit any tears from us if they disappeared forever. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re bad rides is bad either – though they may be – but it could also simply be that they’re redundant, or taking up space that impedes on guest flow and park development.
We’ve got questions about BOTH of Hollywood Studios’ nighttime projection shows.
In recent years, there have been two nighttime projection shows presented at Hollywood Studios — Disney Movie Magic and Wonderful World of Animation. However, right now we’re slightly confused about what’s going on with both of them!
Months after its closing, Disney’s Star Wars Hotel is STILL a hot topic of conversation.
The Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser is going to go down as one of the most fascinating projects undertaken by the Walt Disney Company. Some would argue it was an ahead of its time, unforgettable interactive experience that immersed users in the Star Wars universe. Others may refer to it as an overpriced boondoggle that underdelivered on its premise. What can’t be denied is that it “failed” in the sense that it closed forever just 19 months after opening. So, is there anything Disney could have done differently? Well, maybe.
It has been quite an exciting day so far!
Disney shared the first full ride through video of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom, and we can’t wait to go down into the bayou and help Tiana find a band for her big celebration. However, Tiana is in a bit of a pickle already because those who were supposed to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure as part of early previews haven’t been able to.
