We’ve already shared our excitement about the return of the Kakamora Float in Magic Kingdom and now we’re bopping over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to be reunited with one of our favorite cookies in Disney World!
We come to you with a tale today — one of love, loss, reunion, loss again, and REUNION AGAIN. If you’ve been around DFB for the past year or so, you know that we have a total love affair with Magic Kingdom’s Kakamora Float at Aloha Isle.
Kakamora Float
This float debuted for the 2019 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and we were SO delighted when it stuck around. It’s disappeared a few times, due to the park closures and once to make room for 2020’s holiday float. But we’re starting 2021 STRONG with the return of the Kakamora Float!

You may remember that Florida residents have had access to a special ticket at select times of the year, called the Florida Resident Discover Ticket. This option gives Floridians BIG savings and flexibility when it comes to visiting Disney World parks on non-consecutive days. Now, that offer is BACK!

Park Hopping is the option to visit more than one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks per day. The program was suspended upon the initial reopening of the Walt Disney World parks in the summer of 2020. But now, guests who have purchased valid park tickets that include Park Hopper benefits can start their day in, say, Magic Kingdom, then HOP to EPCOT (or Hollywood Studios! There are so many things to be excited about in Disney World in 2021 including the France Pavilion extension with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and La Creperie de Paris, and the Moana-inspired makeover at Disney’s Polynesian Resort! Well, we thought TOMORROW would be the day, but turn’s out, today’s the day! There’s been a BIG change to the way you’ll prep for your Disney vacation.

Last June, Disney announced that complimentary MagicBands would be discontinued in January 2021 in favor of expanded smart device capabilities. But we are STILL in December of 2020 and free MagicBands are now a thing of the past — at least if your trip starts in 2021!
Disneyland has remained closed since March of this year, and it isn’t expected to reopen soon.

With strict theme park guidelines from the California government and limited ICU availability in the state, Disneyland has been forced to keep its doors closed for months now.
