We’re kissing 2020 goodbye at Disney World today! It’s been a long year and we’re ready to move forward into 2021.

Disney World is celebrating New Year’s Eve a little differently this year. The theme parks are closing before midnight for health and safety reasons. Guests are encouraged to ring in the new year from their resort where Disney will host special activities tonight. We’re heading into the parks to see what the crowds, wait times, and the overall vibe is like.Â
The world is still contending with the global health crisis as 2020 comes to a close.

December is almost over, but January will bring some even BIGGER changes at Walt Disney World. New Years Ears
We’ve been celebrating today at Disney World by eating all the delicious New Year’s treats and checking out the 2021 merchandise. There are special offerings at the resorts, but one thing is missing — the fireworks! Disney announced a few weeks ago that they wouldn’t be shooting off fireworks in their parks for the holiday, but that doesn’t mean we have to go without Disney World fireworks completely.Â

New Year’s Eve in Magic Kingdom
We’re celebrating by trying ALL the New Year’s treats in Disney World. Cupcakes, Dole Whip floats, chocolate mousse, we’re reviewing it all, and man has today been delicious! However, during our expedition to find all the special snacks, we found one that we can’t eat, even though we really want to!
We’re saying BYE to 2020 and looking forward to the new year.

For some, 2021 will bring a trip to Disney World and now we know the park hours a little further out. Previously we knew alllll the hours through March 6th, and now we know another two weeks — March 7th through March 20th.
