food IS a theme park
Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT!
And, we’ve got plenty of construction, entertainment, merchandise, and food updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
It’s hard to believe that 2020 is almost behind us and 2021 is right around the corner!
We’ve already seen a ton of 2021 merchandise at Disney World, including jewelry, ornaments, pins, and even Minnie ears! But did you know that there’s also the Chinese New Year coming up on February 12th? And now we’ve spotted a brand new Chinese New Year item at Disney World!
Now that Christmas is over, you can get a lot of awesome Disney holiday stuff ON SALE, both online and in the parks!
And now there’s a sale going on at Disney World for 30% off select holiday merch!
When it comes to Disney merch and getting dressed for a day in Disney World, comfort is KEY! Especially in the winter.
Sure, Minnie Ears and themed pins are pivotal purchases, but at the end of the day, it’s important to keep comfy, and we found the coziest new apparel at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa that’s sure to hit the spot!Â
Jambo, everyone, from Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We had a wild time during our day, discovering some new merchandise, a new Magic Shot photo op, AND some returning food! So here’s what’s new!
Lately, due to social distancing measures, it’s become a regular occurrence that ride lines at Disney World zigzag in weird and wonky directions!
From waiting inside a restaurant to go on Peter Pan’s Flight to queuing up at Muppet*Vision 3D for Rise of the Resistance, we never know where we might end up! Today in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the line for Kilimanjaro Safaris took us on a wistful stroll down memory lane, to the outdoor queue space at the Festival of the Lion King!Â
Walt Disney World reopened with limited capacities throughout every building on the property. All gift shops, restaurants, rides, and shows were reduced to accommodate physical distancing between travel groups.
Upon reopening, Disney World had a reduced capacity of 25% and the theme parks attracted fewer crowds. It was recently announced that the theme parks were raised to 35% and we’ve seen an uptick in crowds over the holidays. Attractions are seeing increased wait times and Disney has been adjusting experiences to accommodate the lines. But what about restaurants? While Disney World hasn’t shared specifics, we have seen a quiet increase in capacity within the restaurants. So, what does dining at a Disney World restaurant look like now that the parks have been reopened for a few months?
As the end of 2020 is just around the corner, we’ve seen a year of fluctuation with new health and safety measures being put in place and even stay-at-home orders being issued.
Since the global health crisis is continually changing, the various ways countries are operating have also seen modifications recently. And, now Japan is placing another restriction in place into the New Year to protect its residents.
We’ve been eating and drinking our way around the holidays at Disney World!
That means we’ve been drinking everything from spiked egg nog to a pumpkin spice margarita to a candy cane martini. But sometimes, we stumble upon a SECRET…and we just have to tell you about it!
We’ve had a LOT of margaritas at Disney World, with a variety of flavors!
Some of these cocktails have been pretty unique, including tomato margaritas, pumpkin spice margaritas, and smoky Dia de Muertos margaritas! When it comes to drinks, it’s important to mix things up. Don’t ya think?
