Last week, we noticed that Slinky Dog Dash in Disney’s Hollywood Studios changed its loading procedure to begin seating guests in every row.

And just a few days before that, we noticed that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was doing the same. We’ve also seen the addition of plexiglass barriers between rows on more popular rides, such as Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Rise of the Resistance, with those rides also now loading guests in every row.
It’s almost time to kiss 2020 goodbye and ring in a brand new year!

We’ve already been celebrating with loads of 2021 merchandise that we’ve seen in both Disney World and Disneyland Resort. And there are even some modified ways you can celebrate the New Year if you’re at a Disney World hotel on New Year’s Eve!

We had our fingers crossed that the rumors of a high-speed rail station at Disney World were true, so we were excited when Brightline announced they had reached an agreement to build just that. And now we know WHEN we might be riding the rails right to Disney!

New Disney World restaurants are a pretty big deal (as are new spots to get some sweet, sweet air conditioning in the Florida heat).

One current Disney project is going to accomplish BOTH! Roundup Rodeo BBQ is bringing table service dining to Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and we’re pretty darn excited. Despite presumably being delayed, we’re still hoping to check out this spot soon and now we’ve got a RARE look at the construction progress!
The global health crisis has upended the travel industry and resulted in the closure of Disney Parks globally during the spring. Although many parks have reopened (with some ultimately re-closing), Disneyland in Southern California remains closed.

Although Disneyland Resort did have the opportunity to open up some retail outlets and restaurants at Downtown Disney, as well as on Buena Vista Street in California Adventure, a recent stay-at-home order has put a limit on the capacity for stores, as well as a limit on restaurants to only offer take-out and to-go orders.
There are SO MANY construction projects going on at Disney World right now!
Guardians of the Galaxy Construction
We’ve been watching for updates on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and so many more ongoing projects. And while some projects may not be quite as exciting as a new ride or hotel, they’re still very helpful for improving Disney World as a whole. That’s the case with the project we got a glimpse at today — construction progress for the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)!

Since we can’t get enough of their adorable-ness, Disney loves to make merchandise to match. We’ve seen cute shoulder plushes, bags, and so much more. Recently, Disney announced they’d be launching a Reigning Cats and Dogs collection, featuring cats and dogs from Disney media and including items for our pets! We didn’t expect the collection to arrive until December 28th, but today we spotted some items in Disney World!
