We’re BIG fans of all things Disney snacks, which is why we’re called Disney FOOD Blog!
However, not all snacks are built the same. We certainly have our fair share of snacks that we’re NOT fans of, the snacks that we love that other people don’t (and vice versa), but there are a few snacks out there that are practically perfect according to just about everybody.
Magic Kingdom is one of, if not THE busiest Disney World park on most days.
It’s also home to the most attractions, even though it’s the smallest park. Rope dropping Magic Kingdom is a great way to get a head start on your day and experience some of the most popular attractions at lower waits, BUT there are some rides that we absolutely do NOT recommend running to during rope drop — know them now so you don’t make the same mistakes we have in the past!
Planning a vacation at Disney World is hard enough, but couple that with the intense heat, sweat, and summer crowds, and you could instantly have a recipe for disaster. While most people believe that planning a vacation at Disney World begins and ends with the logistics of getting your hotel accommodations and park tickets, figuring out your best transportation options, and mastering the art of advance dining reservations and Genie+, oftentimes there’s a whole other element missed in the chaos of it all.
Knowing your stresses, limits, and how certain outside factors physically work against you can be key to understanding how to not only dress for but survive the physical toll being in the Disney World parks can take on your body — without turning you into something that resembles a bridge troll a few hours into your day. Ah, EPCOT. Home to an entire World Showcase full of great food, drinks, and Cast Members from all over the world. It’s one of our favorite parts of the park! But let’s be real. Everyone already knows about the hot spots in EPCOT. We’re talking places like La Cava del Tequila, Rose & Crown, and Via Napoli. We don’t need to tell you about the margaritas at the Mexico Pavilion. Judging by the lines we see every day, everyone seems to know that Mexico is the place to be.
But there are actually other places to get a drink in EPCOT outside of the World Showcase. For example, you can stop by the Space 220 Lounge for some out-of-this-world drinks (we apologize for the pun). In fact, even EPCOT’s quick-service restaurant, Connections Eatery, serves cocktails, but how does the NEW option compare to our old favorites?
It’s been another week in Disney World, and yes, we continue to eat our way through the entire resort (#sorrynotsorry).
We even recently came up with a super cheap snack hack. We also got all the details about the NEW snacks arriving in Disney World AND Disneyland in June. We even got more details about the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic (Disney World’s OTHER Food and Wine festival). However, we also saw some menus change at Disney World restauarants this week.
Whew! What a week! Let’s just say this was THE week everyone was talking about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
The new ride, which will officially open to the public in Magic Kingdom on June 28th, has been a hot topic of conversation, especially after Disney dropped the very first ride through video where we got to see the WHOLE ride. We got to hear all the music, see every scene, and had our minds BLOWN by the gorgeous dress Tiana wears in the ride’s finale. However, the video did confirm one key detail about the ride, too.
Attention all Disney World Annual Passholders, you’ll be some of the FIRST to book a stay at the newly renovated Island Tower at Polynesian Resort SOON!
The Island Tower is the latest and greatest addition coming soon to Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows at Walt Disney World Resort. Currently still under construction (pardon their pixie dust if you’re happening by the resort), this tropical treasure is set to welcome guests in December 2024, although the exact debut remains under wraps. Along with this exciting news, we’ve got word of available booking dates that will hold us over as we excitedly anticipate this new extension of the Polynesian Resort’s paradise!
If you’ve visited Disney World recently, you’ll understand just how important the My Disney Experience app is.
The app is pretty much the handiest tool you can have in Disney World as it pretty much does EVERYTHING for you. You can check in to your hotel, unlock your hotel room door, mobile order food, store your tickets, check ride wait times, get Lightning lane access to rides through Genie+, join virtual queues, and so much more. Okay, well, there was one thing it didn’t do: although you can store your credit card details in the app for payment, you couldn’t save a Disney Rewards card number. Well, that has finally changed!
We have exciting news for Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Members!
Over in EPCOT, the DVC Lounge is typically located high up in the Imagination Pavilion. However, from now to July 13th, 2024, this area will be closed due to a planned refurbishment. But don’t worry, the lounge is still active — it’s just moved for now!
