Hello from Disney Springs! It’s a beautiful day to walk around and see what’s going on, don’t ‘ya think?
So that’s exactly what we did, so here’s what’s new!
We’ve seen a number of things change or new things be announced at Disney World since it reopened.Â
A new Table Service Mobile Order option has been introduced, virtual walk-up waitlists have started to be used at some restaurants, and more. There are a few things that were unexpected, but there are quite a few things that we’re surprised Disney didn’t do sooner. Today, we’re sharing our list of the top 5 things Disney is doing NOW (or will be doing soon) that we’re surprised they didn’t do sooner!
Earlier this year, Disney announced massive layoffs coming to the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products division. Recently, we were all devastated by the news that many performers from some of our very favorite Disney World shows had been affected by these layoffs.
In fact, Actors’ Equity Association indicated that 720 of their members working at Disney had lost their jobs there. Now, Disney has issued a statement regarding these entertainment layoffs.
2020 sure has been a year, huh?
Honestly, we’re totally ready for it to be the NEW YEAR, which will bring plenty of exciting things to Walt Disney World.
We’re big fans of Disney’s spirit jerseys — not only do they come in a lot of great designs (HOLIDAY SPIRIT JERSEYS, Y’ALL!), but they’re so comfy and they are great to lounge around in.
We’ve enjoyed looking at all the new spirit jerseys we’ve found at Disney World, too, including designs with Disney animal friends, wintry snowflakes and castles, and Wishes Come True Blue!
We love seeing all the Star Wars merchandise at Disney World, and more keeps coming in every day.
From Festive Porg Plushes and Star Wars Boxer shorts to The Child Blankies, we are all about the merch from a galaxy far, far away! And now we’ve spotted some new shirts that are sure to bring the Force to us all!
Y’all want to see something WILD?
Sorry, sorry, maybe we should have given you a little more warning before we showed you pure nightmare fuel on a plain old Friday morning. But honestly, we gotta talk about Disney’s new robot.
Recently, the State of California announced its reopening guidelines for Disneyland and other theme parks in the state.
While some reopening guidelines were expected like required face masks and extra sanitizing procedures, other guidelines were slightly surprising! These details we’re talking about are little things you might have missed, but will have a BIG impact on your future Disneyland vacation.
If you’re planning on visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios in December and have not yet made a park pass reservation, you may be out of luck.
As you may know, Disney World started the park pass reservation system when it reopened to keep its parks at limited capacity. So a park pass, in addition to a valid ticket, is now required to enter any given park.
