Shortly before Magic Kingdom began welcoming back guests last week after its longest closure in history, Disney released some information about construction schedules for attractions that were in-progress.

And while we suspected the temporary closure might delay some of the delivery dates of the projects Disney had planned, we’ve since learned construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run will be picked back up in stages.
We’ve been scoping out Disney’s Animal Kingdom ever since it reopened last week.

And so far we’ve already spotted a few new pieces of merch including the new Fab Five coffee mugs and Together Again t-shirts! But now, we just discovered a new long sleeve tee we’re simply WILD about!
Annnnd we’re back in EPCOT for the grand reopening and the first day of the Taste of EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. Last week we took a detailed look at all of the changes at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom has been looking just as beautiful as ever since we’ve returned back to Disney World (especially with the redesign of Cinderella Castle).

Although we’ve been exploring everything happening in the parks since they’ve opened again, we have loved being able to pick up new merchandise, like the Together Again collection!
Although the Fourth of July has already passed, you can still find plenty of red, white, and blue merch in Disney World right now (especially since Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom are back open)!

As we’ve been exploring all the stores that have opened in the parks as well as the new shopping procedures, we love spotted new items like the latest patriotic collection in the World of Disney. But, we’re popping over to Magic Kingdom to pick up a new MagicBand (and maybe a snack or two while we’re there ;D)!
Our hearts have been so happy seeing all the characters out and about again in Disney World!

Although we’ve been checking out all the characters during the cavalcades in Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, we’ve spotted a few new character coffee mugs to add to your kitchenware collection!
Walt Disney World officially reopened all four of its theme parks to the general public in July. Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom began welcoming guests back after an unprecedented nearly four-month closure on July 11, while EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios officially reopened their gates to guests on July 15th.Â

We’ve been on the ground in the parks ever since, including experiencing both cast member previews and Annual Passholder previews, which served as an opportunity for Disney to test their new health and safety protocols on groups that would more closely approximate a public crowd.Â
As Disney reopens in the midst of the global health crisis, our focus has been on helping you understand what to expect when you get to the newly reopened parks, as well as how to navigate Disney’s new planning systems and procedures — from the new Disney Park Pass reservation system to big changes to Disney’s hotel, park ticket, and dining reservation processes.Â
But, the one question everyone still has about Disney World right now is: Is it safe and should I go? We’ve got a broad perspective on this for you — with lots of quotes and specific, firsthand reporting. But we’ve also got an anecdotal perspective on this from our time in the parks and Disney Springs. I was shocked…by my own behavior. Back in March, we learned Ample Hills Creamery, a popular ice cream spot at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn with a new location going into Disney Springs had filed for bankruptcy.

While we knew this was a strategic move on the owners’ part to restructure and refocus the business, we didn’t really know what the final outcome would be. Now, it appears the original founders of the company are stepping away and the new owners will be taking over.
We’re always pumped for new dessert spots in Disney World.

But we may be ESPECIALLY pumped for the opening of the new Gideon’s Bakehouse location in Disney Springs later this year. We can’t wait to get our hands on these high-demand cookies and DELISH-looking cakes. Now, Gideon’s Bakehouse has just announced a new addition to the team, and she’s got some experience under her belt!
