We’ve been back in Magic Kingdom this week and there are a lot of changes.
We’ve been visiting the park since it opened last week to see what’s been happening at “The Most Magical Place on Earth” now that guests have returned to the parks.
Yesterday, we reported the CDC had extended their “no sail order” for U.S. cruise ships through September 30th.
Although Disney Cruise Line has yet to cancel any more of their U.S. departures, Adventures By Disney has now canceled most of its departures through September 30th.
When the phased reopening of Disney Springs began back in May, we saw Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ had started construction on a NEW outdoor patio bar!
And while the new Homecomin’ Shine Bar + Social isn’t quite open yet, we DID notice that the location has hit another milestone today!
We took a trip to Downtown Disney in Anaheim today! We had to get back and see what was new since its grand reopening a few days ago.
So we’re back and taking a look at all that’s new in dining and merchandise. Let’s go!!
All four Disney World theme parks have finally reopened after their longest closure in history.
We’ve spent the better part of the last two weeks exploring the parks to show you all the changes that have been implemented while guests were away. From seas of social distancing markers to newly installed plexiglass barriers and temperature screening checkpoints, there’s certainly been a lot of new ground-breaking procedures to cover!
Dear Baby Yoda, we don’t know how we’d be gettin’ through 2020 right now without your sweet lovin’!
And if you’re a fan of the adorable Baby Yodes from Disney+’s The Mandalorian, check out how you can plaster this angelic creature’s mug ALL over your HOME!
Alright, we have OFFICIALLY been to all four Disney World parks BUT…one of these things is not like the others. While other Disney World parks seem to have smooth sailing with their reopenings, Hollywood Studios is struggling with crowds, pinch points, wait times, and ride breakdowns.
Disney Park Pass reservations are slim when it comes to getting into Disney’s Hollywood Studios — which means it, and its headliner attractions like Rise of the Resistance, the brand new Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Slinky Dog Dash, have been a serious draw for guests since the park reopened on Wednesday. It’s absolutely Disney World’s hottest ticket right now, and that means — despite Disney lowering capacity in the parks — it’s BUSY.
We compared Disney World’s glitziest park’s opening day with all three of the other parks and crowds were definitely heavier. We even went back the next day to see if crowds and pinch points lightened up. Spoiler alert: They didn’t.
With a smaller footprint, fewer open rides, and Disney World’s most popular attraction by far, Hollywood Studios has struggled to reach the same equilibrium the other parks achieved relatively quickly.
There’s a lot of exciting Marvel shows and movies on the horizon, but with the global health crisis, we’ve been seeing some delays.
It’s kind of difficult to keep track of ALL of the Disney-owned flicks and shows that have been postponed, and now we can add another to the list. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was supposed to premiere on Disney+ this August; now, it has been officially delayed.
We’ve got spirit, yes we do! We’ve got spirit, how about you? When it comes to Hocus Pocus we can’t get show our excitement enough!
So, when we saw a new spirit jersey dedicated to the sensational Sanderson Sisters, we had to stop scrolling immediately and get the details!
Starbucks has become a BIG part of our Disney park experience! We usually can’t start our day without stopping by Main Street Bakery to pick up a quick pick-me-up like the new Endless Yum cold brew!
Unfortunately, you can’t Mobile Order your Starbs at the theme parks and you’ll have to wait in line. But over at Disney Springs. you can use the Starbucks app to place your order ahead of time and skip the queue entirely! YAY!
