Select Walt Disney World resort hotels are open now, and the theme parks are officially reopening on July 11th and July 15th.

But even though the resort is coming back to life, not EVERY experience is open or will be open this summer, including some of our favorite hangout spots, like Jellyrolls.

Now that Disney World restaurants have started to reopen, a number of changes have been made to dining experiences.

When Disney World began to reopen Disney Springs, and with the subsequent announcements of reopening the theme parks and resorts, it was abundantly clear that the typical Walt Disney World experience was going to change.
Caribbean Beach Pin Trading Board Before the Closures
With the emphasis on increasing contactless experiences throughout the resort area, we wondered how pin trading would be affected! With many of the Disney Vacation Club Resort hotels reopening this week, we hoped to get an even better idea of what would be in store for pin fanatics.
Disneyland Resort closed in March due to the global health crisis and was set to reopen mid-July. The closure has now been extended until further notice with no new reopening date in place. This setback caused Disney to make a few important adjustments to Disneyland’s Travel Information page.

Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn used to be home to one of Disney World’s most unique character breakfasts!

It was called the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast and it offered guests a chance to meet a few rare Disney characters while enjoying a special menu of Ariel and Rapunzel-themed eats!
Ever since Disney’s Park Pass reservation system went live on Monday, we’ve been watching reservations for Disney World’s theme parks fly out the door!

And now we’ve just seen ANOTHER date fill up for Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Disney theme parks around the world have been temporarily closed due to the current health situation. These closures not only affected Disney Parks, but many organizations, communities, and people everywhere. Due to this, Disney VoluntEARS (volunteer teams made up of Cast Members) have once again joined forces to give back to the community during these unprecedented times.

While Cast Members from Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, and Disney Cruise Line have donated their time and resources, Disneyland Paris is also doing their part and recently donated over 1.5 MILLION EUROS in food, protective gear, and medical supplies. [Read more…]
HARVEYS is known for its delightfully animated bags, keychains, and lanyards all made with sturdy (and adorable!) seatbelt material. In the past, we’ve seen the Disney x HARVEYS collection drop some seriously cute accessories like Toy Story keychains, Monster’s Inc. tote bags, and high-flying handbags featuring Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

As you know, we’ve been eating our way around all the newly reopened restaurants at Disney Springs, and the time finally arrived to revisit one of our favorite spots, Chef Art Smith’s, Homecomin’: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine.Â

Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ reopened this week, and you never need to ask us twice about swinging by for some southern comfort food. The moonshine cocktails seem to always hit the spot, and we are suckers (cluckers? Too much?) for the Fried Chicken. After sitting down and talking with Art Smith himself, we were eager to see if the food would be just as good as we remembered. Spoiler alert: it was.Â
