Over the past few years, Disney has started or announced a lot of projects and then backtracked on them.
Just to name a few, we have the Mary Poppins attraction in EPCOT‘s UK Pavilion, a refurbishment to Spaceship Earth, the PLAY! Pavilion reimagining (formerly known as the Wonders of Life Pavilion), as well as an ENTIRE hotel, Reflections — A Disney Lakeside Lodge. We haven’t heard any official news on this hotel in a long time, but here’s why some fans of the idea may think it could still happen.
It’s no secret that Disney World has gone through quite a bit of changes as of late.
The EPCOT Transformation is almost finally complete, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be opening this summer after a years-long refurbishment, and Animal Kingdom is set to get a huge expansion (eventually). But, another important change has just rolled out in Disney World — here’s what you need to know.
Well, it’s been another week of us eating our way around Disney World — do you blame us? We LIVE for Disney food.
We even reacquainted ourselves with Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs this week, as well as checked out a new POG drink (YES, REALLY!!!). Now, we’re counting down until we can have beignets in Magic Kingdom again (and these look more like authentic New Orleans-style beignets, which is ALL we ever wanted). In the meantime, we’re going through all the menu changes we spotted in Disney World restaurants.
Yes, we say it EVERY TIME we talk about this ride, but Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World is “Almost There.” You’ll just have to forgive all our The Princess and the Frog references.
Now that we have an opening date for the ride, as well as dates for early previews, we just can’t contain our excitement, and we always have to “Dig a Little Deeper” (we did it again) to see if we can find any new updates over at the ride’s construction site in Magic Kingdom. Well, we’ve got some BIG Tiana’s Bayou Adventure updates to share with you!

Choosing which Disney World hotel to stay at is no easy decision.
There are 3 tiers of hotels to choose from: Value (most affordable), Moderate (in the middle), and Deluxe (the most expensive and therefore the fanciest). All of them have their own unique theming that may be more attractive to you and your family which could help you make your decision. However, even if you’re booking months in advance, here’s why you ALWAYS need a backup plan for your Disney World hotel.
We get the appeal of Disney World’s value hotels, and it’s not just about the fact that these are the cheapest hotels on Disney World property.
For example, two value hotels actually have a Skyliner station, making transportation a lot more convenient. We also love the over-the-top theming at the value hotels — and we would argue that we sometimes think Disney World’s deluxe hotels are boring because they don’t have that theming. However, let’s talk about food. There’s a rule we need to tell you about when it comes to eating at Disney World’s value hotels.
Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs in Disney World has been open since 2019. Now, we know a lot of folks sleep on this hotel (and it does tend to attract the convention crowd), but we have to show off one of the rooms we recently stayed in because it might surprise you.
We got to spend some time in a Deluxe Club Suite room in the tower and let’s just say the experience was pretty amazing. These rooms are on the club level of the tower, meaning you get some perks like access to the exclusive concierge lounge, The Chronos Club. Now, we’ve previously told you all about The Chronos Club, so we’re going to give you a FULL room tour here instead.
We know there is a Loungefly out there for nearly every Disney ride, but we spotted a few new designer bags that have us yelling “Take all our money!”
These may not be mini backpacks, but we are loving them all the same. A new ‘it’s a small world’ collection has landed on the Disney Store website, and our Mary Blaire hearts are swooning. So let’s check out the brand new Dooney & Bourke collection that you’re going to need if your favorite ride is ‘it’s a small world.’
