Hello again, friends! We’re back with another DFB Video, and today we’re talking about ALL the Disney and theme park news you need to know!
It has been a BIG week for Disney and the theme park industry and we have a LOT to cover!
With Disney facing a super weird summer and fall (most likely), we’re thinking the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will look different than it has in previous years.
Since its inaugural year in 1995, the Epcot Food and Wine Festival has continued to grow in size and popularity. It’s an annual event that many Disney fans (us included!) look forward to exploring year after year.
But it seems likely that the festival will undergo some changes this year. We’ve seen the health and safety measures that were implemented with the reopening of Shanghai Disneyland and Disney Springs. So, how might the Food and Wine Festival be different?
There are some essential things you might be leaving off of your Disney World itinerary!
Planning a Disney World vacation is exciting! In fact, sometimes we get so caught up snagging our Advance Dining Reservations, making our Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations, and booking special event tickets that we forget to add some essential things into our schedule. Today we want to talk about something you might be disregarding that could actually make all the difference on your trip to Disney World!
Morimoto Asia Street Food is now reopened in Disney Springs!
Select third-party shops and restaurants began reopening at Disney Springs on May 20th. We were there on reopening day to share our experience, and we’re continuing to drop in to check out locations as they reopen. Today, Morimoto Asia Street Food joined the list of reopened locations at Disney Springs, so we stopped in to grab some lunch!
Earlier today, we shared some very important news from The Basket at Wine Bar George (in addition to these adorable tumblers).
In case you missed it, they are now pairing their loaded french fries with frozen beverages! So we headed to the recently reopened Disney Springs to see if THIS could be our go-to snack for the summer!
Disney Springs is back OPEN with places to shop and spots to grab a bite.
While Disney-owned locations won’t be opening until May 27th, there are still SO many restaurants and stores that will be greeting guests again. Today, we’re making our way over to the newly-reopened Pizza Ponte to see how they’re handling the changes.
The counter service window at Wine Bar George — The Basket — is one of the eateries newly reopened in Disney Springs. And some new offerings are already making their debuts at the spot.
Along with the brand new suggested pairings of “Frozen & Fries” featuring your choice of one of four varieties of topped fries and frozen drinks, there is also a new Wine Bar George Corkcicle up for grabs! [Read more…]
Universal Orlando is reopening its theme parks to the public on June 5th.
Universal Orlando is set to become one of the first major theme park resorts to reopen in the United States. Though they have set a precedent with the reopening of Universal CityWalk last week, the company is still working out many of the details about how their reopening will look on June 5th. Here’s what we know so far.

While we knew Fun Spot was requesting approval to reopen before Memorial Day weekend arrived, we didn’t know how quickly their reopening plan would be reviewed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
But while earlier this afternoon the Governor passed Univeral Orlando and Legoland Florida’s reopening proposal, Fun Spot in Orlando has also been given the go-ahead, and they’ve already begun allowing guests back in.
