While several third-party restaurants and stores have reopened this week in Disney Springs, crowds have really thinned out since Wednesday.

When we arrived at 10AM to visit some of the restaurants we knew would be reopening today (although one of them didn’t) we were surprised to see what a literal ghost town Disney Springs has become.

When it comes to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, we’re constantly impressed by the awesome menu items Disney brings to the table — literally! Every year we put together our Best of the Fest List with all of our must-eat items from the Festival (c’mon Frothy Ramen!) but we wanted to know what eats our readers can’t stop thinking about! Earlier we reported Vivoli il Gelato in Disney Springs would be among the second group of businesses to reopen on May 22nd (which is today!).

But on our walk through Disney Springs this morning, it appears Vivoli il Gelato will NOT be reopening today.
While you may know us to be quite the Disney World experts, trust us when we say we didn’t start out this way!

We actually had to figure out some stuff at Disney World through trial and error or after peril befell one of our family members (or us!).
While last night we learned Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings had given Universal Studios Orlando’s reopening plan for its theme parks the green light, several smaller attractions have also been approved. We shared that a few of these locations are hoping to open THIS weekend just yesterday.

Since Demings approved the plans for thirteen other Central Florida attractions, they will now go to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ office for his acceptance.
We have to tell you, folks, Disney just dropped some content that we didn’t know we needed — and we LOVE it!

Earlier today, Universal Orlando Resort presented its reopening plans during a meeting of the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force.
Universal
Universal Studios has been closed since mid-March due to the global health situation. However, the resort took its first step towards resuming operations with the phased reopening of CityWalk, which began on May 14th. Earlier today, Universal submitted plans for the parks which included a reopening date of June 5, 2020 for the general public with additional safety measures in place.
