Disney parks are opening around the world, and health and safety measures are mandatory at this time to keep guests and employees safe. But one that seems standard across many entertainment venues, including Disney properties, is temperature screening.

So, if we’re going to get our temperatures taken a whole bunch as things reopen, we’re wondering — what exactly is the science behind these temperature checks? Are they legitimately giving true data, or are they all for show?

Former Disneyland President, Rebecca Campbell, is stepping into the role of Chairman for the Direct-To Consumer sector and analysts shared their concerns with this recent change.

We’ve been keeping you updated with all of the restaurants that plan to re-open tomorrow, but Earl of Sandwich, Chicken Guy!, and Planet Hollywood just released more information on how they plan to protect guests at the re-opening.
Although Disney Springs is set to begin a phased re-opening tomorrow, May 20th, and Universal Orlando’s CityWalk has re-opened to the public, Florida’s major theme parks still remain closed.

No opening dates have been announced for Disney World, Universal Orlando, or SeaWorld Orlando, but SeaWorld appears to already be prepping for guests to return.

As we’ve seen many new safety guidelines and other preparations being made for Disney Springs’ phased reopening tomorrow. Now, we’ve just learned what the new hours will be for the time being.

According to its website, the new hours for Disney Springs will be 10AM to 10PM.
Disney Springs will begin a phased reopening tomorrow, May 20th. And today, as Walt Disney World’s shopping and dining district continues to prepare for the reopening, Disney is giving a preview to local Orlando media of what the “new normal” will look like.

Disney has already announced new measures that will be in place for guest and cast safety.
