Things aren’t “back to normal” in Florida quite yet.

Two days after Florida was battered by Hurricane Milton, many of the state’s larger attractions and businesses have begun reopening. These include Disney World, Universal Orlando, and Orlando International Airport. However, while Orlando Airport is back open to commercial operation, that doesn’t mean things are going 100% smoothly.
We visit Disneyland several times each week to see what’s new!

We’re watching Disney put the finishing touches on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (it opens November 15th!), and we’re waiting for “it’s a small world” to re-open with its holiday overlay next month. But we’ve spotted another change in Disneyland — and you’ll have to look really closely to see it!

With all the amenities and immersion, it feels like there must be a little pixie dust at every turn. Disney definitely knows how to make your stay feel extra special. Speaking of amenities, we actually got to thinking about things that we could change about our hotels, and we wanted to get your thoughts on the matter. So we reached out to you to get your thoughts. Now, you definitely delivered. In fact, one particular comment stopped us in our tracks and had us thinking, “Wait a minute…where did this perk go?!”
Hurricane Milton ripped through Florida earlier this week. The powerful storm closed businesses, hotels, and even theme parks across the state. Disney World closed on October 9th and remained closed on October 10th. Now, on October 11th, the parks have reopened.

There has been a lot of discourse on social media about Hurricane Milton’s impacts at Disney World, and some false information has gained attention. Many people have asked questions like, “Did Disney World flood?” or “What happened to Cinderella Castle?“ We’re here to answer your questions and show you what Disney World looks like after Hurricane Milton.
It is hard to believe that we are under two months away from December.
December is almost here!
It has been a busy year for Disney World and the Walt Disney Company in general. Within this year, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the new Country Bear Jamboree opened in Magic Kingdom. The EPCOT Transformation was officially marked complete when CommuniCore Hall and Plaza opened. At D23, we got the announcement that eight new rides would make their way to Disney World. Genie+ changed to Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, and Individual Lightning Lane changed to Lightning Lane Single Pass at both Disney World and Disneyland. We even got word that four more cruise ships would be joining the Disney Cruise Line line-up, making for a total of 13 ships in the fleet by 2031. It is crazy to look back on all that happened this year, but there is still more to come! Get ready for these two game-changers that will be coming this December!

However, there are cheaper meals than others — for example, you can choose to dine at a quick service location instead of booking a table service reservation, and you could choose to bring snacks with you/purchase them when you arrive (or get them delivered to your hotel room) to help cut down on costs. There’s one tip though that we’ve given a few times, and it really is a GAME CHANGER when eating in Disney World while trying to save some money but eat sufficient meals at the same time.
