Orange County, in which Disneyland is located, has revised its policy regarding face masks.
Now that Disneyland has submitted its proposed reopening dates and parts of Universal CityWalk in Hollywood have already begun to reopen, Califonia’s phased reopening plan seems to be chuggin’ along.
Stage 3 of Governor Newsom’s plan will go into effect this Friday which will means that more locations and businesses will receive the green light to reopen.
Since Disney World is reopening on July 11th and other theme parks in Florida are also getting back to business, tourist travel may start to increase at places like Orlando International Airport (MCO).
Between the Re-Open Florida Task Force discussing ways to keep people safe and the possible $25 billion airline rescue package, airports are working towards preparing for more passengers to make their way back into planes.
Disney World and Disneyland will be implementing many costly new procedures to help ensure the safety of guests and Cast Members upon the reopening of their theme parks.
All of these potential health measures and capacity cuts mean that Disney could be in a tough position — losing money to be able to make it again. Prior to the reopening announcement, we explored the financial impacts of opening the theme parks versus keeping them closed. Select Disney Vacation Club Villas and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are set to reopen on June 22nd. For those Disney guests with reservations between the reopening of resorts and the reopening of the parks, there are a lot of questions.
Now, Disney is reaching out to guests to help in modifying, canceling, or CONFIRMING reservations — even for those booked at closed resorts.
