New Orlando Theme Park Reopening Procedures Discussed at Re-Open Florida Task Force Meeting

The state of Florida has recently put together a task force charged with brainstorming and orchestrating the reopening of the state as the global health crisis improves.

The task force, which includes Disney World President Josh D’Amaro, met today to discuss what sort of health measures may be necessary for industries throughout the state — including the Orlando theme parks. Though Disney did not speak at the meeting, Universal Orlando brought up several possibilities that their teams have been looking at to keep guests and employees safe.

Florida Floats a 4-Step Plan To Rebuild the State’s Tourism Economy

Meetings of the Re-Open Florida Task Force are now underway. Formed in response to the need for a strategy to safely re-open the Florida economy in light of the current global health situation (which has, of course, resulted in the temporary closure of Disney Parks around the globe including Florida’s Walt Disney World), the task force is including the state’s tourism industry within its areas of focus.

She shared beautiful photographs on Instagram from inside the parks on a trip she took yesterday to check on the essential Cast Members currently working. Her caption as she walked through the parks reads, “I had to stop a few times and acknowledge how beautiful it still looks.”
