The CDC has just announced an extension of the “No Sail Order” originally issued on March 14th for all cruise ships by at least 100 days.

Guests who currently have a voyage booked with Disney Cruise Line should note that — as of this morning’s press time — the official Disney Cruise Line website still notes suspended sailings of all departures through April 28, 2020 for the fleet, and for sailings embarking or debarking in Vancouver — which specifically affects the Disney Wonder — through the end of June. Disney technology is definitely something to marvel at; that’s one of our favorite things about going to the parks!

We’re always curious about what’s in the cards when it comes to Disney innovations. With the crazy technology we’ve spotted them working on and the intricate advancements for Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disney’s set the bar high for future tech pretty. That’s why we keep an eye on the patents that Disney files to see if anything interesting crops up. And boy, did we spot something INTERESTING. Disney seems to be working on a new autonomous robot for the parks!

As the temporary theme park closures continue further into 2020, many companies have had to make the difficult decision to furlough some of their employees. Today, we learned that Universal has extended their temporary closure by over a month from their previously projected reopening date.

In addition to extending their closure, Universal has also announced that they will be furloughing many of their employees.
Just a friendly reminder, you can now experience some virtual magic from Disneyland Paris no matter where in the world you call home!

Universal Orlando Resort closed their theme parks around the same time as Disney with the closures beginning on March 15th. Since then, the closures have already been extended once through April 19th.

Now, as we near the previous reopening date, Universal has made a pretty significant extension to closures in Orlando. The closure is extended through at least May 31st as the resort continues to monitor the current health situation.
