However, with the theatrical release of Onward cut short by the current world health situation, the film was soon released on Disney+. Now, the accompanying short, “Playdate with Destiny” will be coming to the streaming service too! Yay!

A Reboot of ‘Doogie Howser, M.D.’ Is in Development For Disney+!

If you’ve heard of Neil Patrick Harris (are there people who haven’t heard of MPH?), then you might also remember the show that gave him his start — Doogie Howser, M.D.

This late ’80s/early ’90s TV show followed the daily like of Doogie Howser, the world’s youngest surgeon. Well now, a reboot featuring a girl in the title role is in development AND it’s coming to Disney+!

Disney World Rolls Out Even MORE Menu Changes During the Closures!

While Disney World remains closed, they certainly aren’t taking a break when it comes to switching up their food and beverage offerings! We recently shared some surprising menu changes we spotted on the menus, including price increases on many of the beverage items at Ale & Compass Lounge and the sudden disappearance of the margarita and martini flights from Brown Derby Lounge!

Disneyland and Union Security Employees Have Reached a Furlough Agreement

With the current indefinite closure of the Disney parks, the company is moving to furlough nonessential employees. For non-union employees, this furlough was announced several days ago to begin on April 19th.

Since then, the company has been working with a variety of unions — such as the American Federation of Musicians Local 389 and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2088 — to come to agreements about their members. Now, Disneyland has settled on a furlough agreement with the Independent Employee Service Association representing some security employees.

News! Disney Has Made More Furlough Agreements for Union Workers

Since the parks are closed “until further notice,” Disney has planned to furlough non-essential salaried and hourly non-union employees starting April 19th.

Although this original statement didn’t include unionized workers, now Disney has begun extending furloughs to other employees of the company. While the American Federations of Musicians Local 389 has come to an agreement with Disney, other unions are also making agreements with Disney to furlough for workers.

Right now, a lot of us are experiencing some MAJOR post-Disney blues since we haven’t been visiting the parks!

Although Disney has been trying to do everything they can to help by donating excess food, donating masks and other materials, and even extending Annual Passes, the company may still take a hit financially with the recent closures. Since ALL the Disney Parks are closed (which hasn’t happened before now) and Disney Cruise Line sailings are cancelled, Disney is likely to see some changes in the aftermath.
