With all of the parks and hotels closed, you might expect to see tumbleweeds blowing through the streets. But believe it or not, Disney property isn’t completely abandoned!

It’s hard to find a bright side to Disney World being temporarily closed.

But shockingly, it’s actually not totally impossible. Now that everyone and everything is slowing down around us, we thought we’d take a moment to figure out some of the good stuff that might actually come from this whole experience when Disney World reopens!
On March 27th, both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort announced extensions to their temporary closures “until further notice” in light of the current global situation.

And now, according to an update to the Disneyland Paris website, it appears that Disneyland Paris is following suit. Previously, the website stated that Disneyland Paris parks and hotels would be closed until the end of March.
DFB Snack Madness has ALMOST wrapped up and crowned the winner!! We’ve already seen the tournament’s first, second, and third rounds, but the fourth round is really narrowing down the competition. And, there are only TWO MORE left, so be sure to cast your votes for your favorite snacks!

Although we’ve been building our own DIY attractions at home, we REALLY miss watching the parades come down Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland.

And, we adore the costumes, music, and floats from the new Magic Happens Parade in Disneyland! So, on top of all the Disney celebrity live streams happening right now, we’re so excited to grab some popcorn or make our own Disney snacks to watch the parade from our couch!
International Mermaid Day has made a splash TODAY, March 29th, and we can’t wait to watch The Little Mermaid on Disney+ with our favorite pair of Ariel Minnie Ears on.

It’s not nautical nonsense, friends! Today, March 29th, is International Mermaid Day (and we’re ready to rock out like a trout and jam like a clam in celebration)!

Since Disneyland and Disney World have both extended their closures, we aren’t really sure when we’ll be setting foot inside the parks again. Buuut, that doesn’t mean we can’t think of reasons to commemorate this special day at home (or when we can finally go back to the Happiest Places on Earth).
Now that Disneyland and Walt Disney World will be “closed until further notice,” we are getting a lot of questions about when we think Disney will reopen and whether readers should cancel their trips.

We know you are in a tough spot if you have a trip planned in the next couple of months…because how are you supposed to know when “further notice” will be? Disney is throwing a lot of eggs into that June 1st basket right now (you currently can’t make ANY bookings before June 1st, and their new, private offers for guests affected by the closures include bookings for only June 1st and later), but can we bank on it?!
Well, let’s put on our thinking caps and start a little logic session. While we don’t know exactly when the Disney Parks will reopen, we can consider a multitude of things that will have to happen BEFORE Disney will consider letting anyone back through those gates.
