Updates For Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders During 2020 Closure

In order to promote the health and safety of the Resort’s guests and cast members, the temporary closure of the Disneyland Resort parks — Disneyland and Disney California Adventure — went into effect March 14th, 2020. ‘Frozen II’ Is Set to Release EARLY on Disney+!

UPDATE: As of March 14th, Frozen II was expected to release tomorrow, but Disney has given us an extra surprise because the movie is NOW STREAMING on Disney+ in the U.S.! The movie is planned to begin streaming in Canada, Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand this Tuesday, March 17th!

The past couple days and weeks have been a whirlwind with all the Disney parks closing in response to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Well, it’s true that the four Walt Disney World parks will be closed on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, in light of concerns over the Coronavirus, with closure officially effective beginning Monday, March 16th.

Worried About Losing Your Disney Vacation Club Points Due to the Closures? We Have All the Details You Need to Know!

With the recent park closures and changes to cruises, Disney vacations are a little bit of a tight spot right now (but there’s some extra pixie dust trying to help that!).

While Disney World and Disneyland are shutting their gates along with the rest of the Disney Parks around the world, the Disney Cruise Line is canceling upcoming departures — as a precaution to promote safety for guests and cast members. So, if you’re a Disney Vacation Club Member, what does that mean for your points? Well, we did a little digging and got all the answers for you!

PLEASE NOTE: This post has been updated with additional information released on March 16, 2020, and also more information that followed on March 28th. As a reminder, all Disney World Resort hotels including all Disney Vacation Club properties and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort closed by 5:00 PM on March 20, 2020. Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii also began a temporary closure on March 24th. All of these properties — as of March 27th — are closed “until further notice.”
