Since Disney World is always changing, chances are you’ll see something that’s closed.
Temporarily closed
That’s just the nature of change. Disney’s got to take out the old to be able to bring in the new. That being said, we have seen a number of attractions close with nothing ever replacing them, and there’s a deserted building in Magic Kingdom that sorely needs new life!
Making sure you’re capturing the memories you’re making at Disney World together can be the highlight of your vacation, and I’ve seen some very sad faces when folks realize their batteries are dying or are already completely gone.

It can be frustrating to try to get the dining reservations you want or to figure out what to eat in the parks. We have six dining hacks that cover both table service and quick service meals that you should implement on your next trip to Disney World!
We go to Disney World for the food, but the rides are definitely up there on our list of things to do!
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
Jumping on a fun roller coaster or flying through the galaxy are great ways to spend our days in the parks. Unfortunately, there are two rides in Disney World that we still can’t ride! Hopefully, they will both be opening soon. Let’s take a look at these two closed rides and everything else that is unavailable due to refurbishments this coming week.

After weeks of seeing pretty high average wait times, the Spring Break crowds have finally left Disney World! Wait times have gone down significantly at every single park, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Along with that, the walkways are also a lot less crowded — so getting around the parks has been so much easier, too. We’re hoping that these low wait times are here to stay — at least for a little while. [Read more…]

While Animal Kingdom is typically the first park to close for the night, often Magic Kingdom or EPCOT will be open a little longer. That said, it’s important to check the park hours before your visit for one BIG reason!

For the past several years, 7-Eleven has hosted a promotion where customers can bring in practically anything they’d like to act as a cup for Slurpees, and no matter the shape or size, it’s just $1.99. Today, April 13th, is that day, and you KNOW we had to go check it out!
Rope dropping is an art at Disney World!
Rope dropping can be really popular!
The term rope drop can mean different things for different people, but typically, rope dropping is when you are in the park, past the turnstiles, BEFORE the park opens. Usually, people arrive about an hour prior to park open to ensure that they are at the rope in front of each of the lands. Believe it or not, at some parks there is a physical rope that keeps you from going into parts of the parks where the attractions are. This rope is then dropped when the park opens. Unfortunately, even the pros make rope drop mistakes, and these are four unfortunate things that always happen to us when we rope drop!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is “Almost There” (yes, we’ll be referencing songs from The Princess and the Frog FOREVER).

We’ve been following construction on both versions of the ride in Disney World and Disneyland. We’ve learned a LOT about some of the characters we’ll get to meet as we float down the bayou. We’ve also learned a bit about the new gift shops coming to Disney World and Disneyland. But what about merchandise? There HAS to be merchandise, and well, there OBVIOUSLY has to be ears.
