Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
This popular ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been closed for refurbishment since January 8th, 2024. But, other than “summer 2024,” we weren’t quite sure when it would be opening. And, while Disney still hasn’t made any official announcements yet, we spotted something on the Disney World app that makes us think we know when we can experience this attraction once again!

New popcorn bucket
Over the last several years, popcorn buckets have become one of Disney’s biggest souvenir categories, with buckets themed to specific characters, lands, and seasonal events. Buckets have resulted in hours-long lines as people rush to get the newest one available (remember the infamous Figment popcorn bucket fiasco of 2022?). Now, a new bucket based on one of Disney’s oldest characters has debuted at Disney Springs!

DVC Welcome Center in Disney Springs
Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is Disney’s timeshare service, where you can purchase points and then use those points to stay at Disney properties around the globe. Once you become a DVC member, there are some distinct perks you can get, including discounts on merchandise and food, as well as access to exclusive spaces. But one of those spaces is about to CLOSE temporarily!
We love finding out just what is going on around the Disney World parks and hotels, and keeping up with the latest construction permits Disney files is a great way to do it!
Cinderella Castle
Between new restaurants, rides, and rethemed classics, Disney is always trying to keep things interesting and exciting for us, and the EPCOT transformation is the perfect example. It’s all set to be completed next month, and we just got another sign that we’re getting closer and closer.
A hotel gift shop has temporarily CLOSED in Disney World, and it looks like it’ll remain closed for a couple of months at least.
Disney’s Grand Floridian
Disney occasionally closes shops, attractions, and other areas in order to update and refurbish them. That’s how they keep everything lookin’ fresh and new! However, that also means that you might run into some temporary closures on your next trip to the parks. We’re getting closer and closer to a NEW ride in Disney World!
“Tonight Only: A Celebration of Family and Friends of New Orleans at the Proud Home of Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen! Everone Is Welcome!”
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has been under construction in Magic Kingdom since early 2023, but it’s set to open in just a few short weeks. We’ve been watching the ride closely for any updates and news, and during a recent visit, we took a very close notice of the ride vehicles!
This is NOT a drill, folks! There’s a new version of one of our favorite Disney World snacks, and you’ve absolutely GOT to try it.
Disney’s Contemporary Hotel
We all know how wonderful it feels to sit down on the Hub grass in front of Cinderella Castle and chow down on some corn dog nuggets from Casey’s Corner, right? Those nuggs might be a little basic, but the nostalgia factor makes them one of our favorite treats in the whole park.
