It’s no secret that we think Morocco has some of the most intriguing options in Epcot’s World Showcase, so we’re going to take a closer look!
The juice bar outside the Spice Road Table restaurant in the Morocco pavilion has some refreshing options you might be interested in! The bar is basically a walk-up window serving some unique drinks. (They used to have house-made ice cream, but, alas, no longer.) While you wait for your table at Spice Road Table or walk around the World Showcase, stop by the juice bar for a pick-me-up!

On a recent trip to Walt Disney World, I made it a mission to revisit one of my favorite restaurants, Jiko.
The restaurant is your top-of-the-line, signature dining option at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort, and I’ve been a big fan of the spot since my very first visit.
With a combination of wonderful ambiance, exotic flavors, and a killer wine list, it’s sure to please any adventurous food lover, and it always surprises me that it tends to fly a little under the radar. This may be because the food is a bit less mainstream, or because the restaurant is a hike to get to.
As regular readers know, though — no matter how much I like a restaurant, I insist on visiting and reviewing them time and again to make sure that I can still recommend them. Fortunately, that’s nearly always a pleasure to do.
Come with me as we take a look around and see what’s new at Jiko.
If you’re looking for Jiko, head down from the main lobby of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, past Victoria Falls Lounge, until you get to the bottom floor. Boma is below Victoria Falls, and then you can access The Mara and the resort’s pool here as well. Jiko is to the right.
Enter the refined space, and you see immediately that wine is given a place of prominence here. Jiko boasts the largest collection of African wines outside of the African continent. If you’re a wine lover, you’ll want to check out their suggested pairings. [Read more…]

Have you chosen your Special Events for the 2016 Epcot Food & Wine Festival?
Maybe you’ve had some interest in attending one of this year’s Rockin’ Burger Block Parties, but you’re not quite sure what the menu entails. Or perhaps you’ve already booked the first Block Party on September 30th, and are already excited to find out what kind of burgers you’ll be diving into!
Either way, we’ve got some info that may help (and if you need anything further, be sure to check out our review from the Rockin’ Burger Block Party we attended last year).
We’ve got the scoop on six of the seven Burgers that guests will be chomping into at the very first Rockin’ Burger Block Party on September 30th featuring Celebrity Chef Maneet Chuahan, who will be joined by Chefs from various Disney restaurants. (Remember, each of the three parties features a different Chef… AND different burgers!)
Maneet Chuahan will showcase her Indian-inspired Malai Chicken Mushroom Burger, while Chefs from STK Orlando will be serving up some of their lil’ BRGs made with Wagyu beef.
Raglan Road will offer a beer-battered burger! This one will be topped with garlic aioli, tomato chutney, and greens.
Here’s a beer battered burger we had at Raglan’s counter service spot — Cookes of Dublin — that we think is the inspiration for the Bash choice.
If the Grand Floridian Resort is your cup of tea, you won’t want to miss the Garden View Tea Room‘s Afternoon Tea offerings!
Every day the resort serves a spread fit for the Queen with a beautiful garden view to match.

If you stop by the Main Street Confectionery over the coming weeks, you’ll find that things look quite different.
That’s because the Confection Case is undergoing a 6 week refurbishment, and is therefore closed.
But don’t fret! Not only is the rest of The Confectionery open (so you can still buy all sorts of in-house and prepackaged goodies), you can also still easily find your favorite house-made Disney confections —items like Mickey Krispy Treats, Cake Pops, Caramel Apples, and English Toffee — at Big Top Treats in New Fantasyland and Prairie Outpost & Supply in Frontierland! And the candy kitchen is still functioning at the Confectionery, so you can even get some house-made treats right here! Just not sold out of the case.
The six-week timeframe should position the reopening to occur around the beginning of November — right when the treats in the case will likely receive their annual holiday makeover into hues of red, green, and frosty winter blue.
In the meantime, let’s take a little tour to see what The Confectionery looks like at the moment.
It’s a bit disorienting to see such a hallmark of the shop behind refurb walls, so just as a reminder, the Case is to the left of the open kitchen where you can watch Cast Members create the treats. [Read more…]
It was a HAPPY DAY when it was announced that the Disney California Food & Wine Festival would return to the Disneyland Resort for 2016 after a four year hiatus. Running on weekends throughout April 2016, it was a much-welcome celebration of food, wine, and the culinary scene in California.
Well, what if I were to tell you that a new Festival is making its debut THIS YEAR… but this time, the HOLIDAY SEASON will be the focus? Because IT IS!!!

It’s heeeeere… the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival has officially begun!!
And since the first day of the Festival is my favorite day of the year, I’m here, too, of course! The DFB Team has been hard at work tasting our way around every single Marketplace Booth to let you know the items you absolutely MUST EAT at the Festival this year!
Then meet me right back here to check out our recommendations for the BEST of the FEST!
Layers of thick peanut butter mousse and white chocolate mousse with some sugared peanuts on top make up this dessert at Chew Collective…and it’s my idea of perfection. Super rich and salty-sweet, you will not be disappointed.
It’s a small portion, but the sweetness will knock your socks off.
