News: More Details About Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak at the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival

The 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is fast approaching! In little more than a month — September 25, to be exact — the event will kick off a celebration that lasts more than seven weeks.

Or should I say the “three-and-only…”? Because you can NOW get your Kitchen Sink in one of three versions: the Original Kitchen Sink, a Neapolitan, or one made just for CHOCOLATE LOVERS’! What?!??!?!?!?!

Grab a spoon and get ready to dig in with us! But first, let’s step inside Beaches and Cream to check out the place that the Kitchen Sink calls “Home SWEET Home.”

Review: Lunch at The Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland

The last time we visited the rarely-open Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland was last summer.

Since The Diamond Horseshoe is only open seasonally for lunch (and very rarely for its buffet dinner during the absolute busiest weeks of year) it can be tricky to try it out. But with Liberty Tree Tavern closed for its current refurbishment — and therefore taking one Magic Kingdom lunch option off the table — it has been a wee bit easier to stop by the ol’ (dry 😉 ) saloon these days.

True, by and large folks are getting ready to head back to school if they haven’t already (Where the heck is this summer going, by the way???), so the peak crowd days of the this summer season are suddenly behind us. But you never do know when The Diamond Horseshoe doors will open again, and you’ll want to be ready when they do!

So, back inside the Horseshoe we go!

It’s been an exciting week as we have a front row seat to all that’s happening with the D23 Expo taking place in Anaheim this week!

Some of the biggest news to come out of California for Disney fans is the confirmation that a Jungle Cruise-themed restaurant is indeed coming to Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World! We first told you about this rumor quite a while back, and we can’t WAIT to see the details unfold on this exciting project!

It’s official and the rumors have been confirmed!: A Jungle Cruise Restaurant — Skipper Canteen — will be opening soon in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom!

The House of Blues in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District has announced that it will be relocating to another spot in Anaheim.

… official news announcing the new Skipper Canteen Jungle Cruise restaurant coming to Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland wasn’t enough for ya?

Star Wars Lands — PLUS CANTINAS! — Coming to Disney World and Disneyland!

Well, then, let’s see if THIS does the trick… A REAL, TRUE STAR WARS CANTINA will be coming to both Disney World AND Disneyland as part of the Star Wars-themed Lands announced for BOTH coasts at the D23 Expo! We’ve been dreaming about this for years!

Here is a glimpse of the concept art for the Star Wars Cantina!

Disneyland and Hollywood Studios will be the homes for each 14-acre expansion “where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life.” According to Bob Iger, “We are creating a jaw-dropping new world that represents our largest single themed land expansion ever. These new lands at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will transport guests to a whole new Star Wars planet, including an epic Star Wars adventure that puts you in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.” [Read more…]

After months of waiting, watching, and hoping, there is now confirmation from Disney that a Jungle Cruise-themed restaurant is indeed on its way to Disney World! The Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen is coming to Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland!

2015 Food and Wine Festival Booth Preview: Sustainable Chew and Chew Lab Marketplaces

It’s just six weeks away! We’re talking about the beginning of the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!

Circle Friday, September 25, because that’s the day that kicks off more than seven full weeks of delicious food and drink in Epcot. And because this is the Festival’s 20th Anniversary, we know that it’s going to be something extra special.

Excitement is building as we look forward to all of the Culinary Demonstrations, Beverage and Mixology Seminars, and other fun Special Events. But mostly, I can’t wait to Dine and Drink Around the World at the Marketplace Booths!

This year, in honor of the 20th Anniversary, the Festival also welcomes the Cast of The Chew, as they film a week’s worth of shows on location from the Festival, and host special events.

But they’ve also been busy creating menus for two brand new Booths — Sustainable Chew and Chew Lab. The two booths will be located in an area called Next Eats Festival Area, which will be located in Epcot’s Future World, marking the first time Marketplace Booths have been located away from the World Showcase Promenade.

Today, we’re going to take a first look at all of the dishes that these special booths will offer. Be sure to add them to your festival plans — I was actually really impressed with the eats here.

Epcot Food and Wine Festival Recipe: Frozen Szarlotka from the Poland Booth

It’s Friday, and that means one thing to me: HAPPY HOUR! 😀

But it’s also just weeks — WEEKS, PEOPLE! — from the start of the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!

Beginning on September 25 and running more than 7 weeks, this year’s Festival promises to be extra special as we mark the 20th Anniversary of the event. We’re looking forward to trying some new dishes and revisiting some old favorites.

And of course, along with the eats, there will be plenty of fantastic drink options to enjoy as well. Back again this year is the Frozen Szarlotka Cocktail at the Poland Marketplace Booth. It’s a great pairing with all of the dishes at the Poland Booth, like the Kielbasa & Potato Pierogi with Caramelized Onions and Sour Cream as well as the Sauerkraut Pierogi.
