We’ve been hearing for what feels like forever that Be Our Guest Restaurant in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom would begin offering breakfast service — and it looks like that rumor is officially confirmed!
In speaking with Disney Cast Members today, we’ve determined that booking for reservations will open up tomorrow! Guests will be able to book dates from March 20th through June 18th, the date which will mark the end of the test period for this new offering at Be Our Guest.
UPDATE: Please note that as of June 2015, the initial test phase of breakfast at Be Our Guest Restaurant has been extended and Advance Dining Reservations are currently available through October 3, 2015.
So circle Friday, March 20th, on your calendars for the start date for breakfast! To be sure you get immediate updates as they become available, sign up for the Disney Food Blog newsletter!
Now let’s look a little closer at what is anticipated, and just a heads up: it looks like breakfast at Be Our Guest will be unlike anything we’ve ever seen before!
Quick Service/Prix Fixe Mashup: Breakfast at Be Our Guest
For lunch service, Be Our Guest recently became the very first counter service spot to offer Advance Dining Reservations. (Dinner service remains table service, and Advance Dining Reservations have been in place for dinner since the restaurant opened.) And now, it seems that they’ll follow suit with lunch for the breakfast service.
Breakfast at Be Our Guest will be a counter service option, but it’s anticipated that advanced ordering will be available, just like at lunch. In addition, the menu will be prix fixe with a twist. Guests will pay one set price, and the meal will include a Deluxe Pastry Basket for sharing at the table, Your Choice of Entree, and a Beverage. (Be sure to continue further in this post for screen shots of the menu!)
At this time, Be Our Guest is NOT planning to offer a Character Dining experience. All in all, the meal will be very similar to lunch, with the exception that it’s prix fixe with a choice of entree.
Breakfast at Be Our Guest will be bookable via the My Disney Experience app or online through the Disney World website. You may also dial (407) WDW-DINE. As with lunch, pre-ordering should be available via My Disney Experience 30 days out. Because this is considered a counter service spot, breakfast will count as one counter service credit on the Disney Dining Plan.
Breakfast will be served from 8AM until 10AM. (In the event that you hold an ADR prior to the Park’s opening for the day, you’ll be required to show your confirmation number in order to enter the Park before it opens to the public.)
So, there you go! You’ll have the convenience of quick service and a set price, but you’ll have higher end options and fantastic themeing.
Be Our Guest Breakfast Menu
As for the menu offerings, Be Our Guest will continue to strike a balance between offering traditional favorites with a French flavor. While everything is subject to change, the menu will likely include:
- Assorted Cured Meats and Cheeses served with Orange Marmalade, Fresh Fruit, and a Toasted Baguette
- Open-faced Breakfast Poached Egg, Applewood Bacon, Brie Cheese, and Arugula on a Toasted Baguette – Served with a Fresh Fruit Cup
- French Doughnut with Bananas, Caramel, and Whipped Creme
- Scrambled Egg Florentine, Country Ham, and Tomato Topped with Fresh Chives – Served in Puff Pastry
- Vegetable Quiche with Mushrooms, Red Peppers, and Spinach – Served with Fresh Fruit
- Egg White Scramble with Tomato Served on a Multigrain Croissant – Served with Fresh Fruit
- Waffles
- French Toast Sticks
Here are a few screen shots of the menu as listed on the “My Disney Experience” app! Below are the listed Adult Entrees:
And here is a glimpse of the Kids Meals. I’m a little jealous, frankly, over the “Crepes du Cogsworth.”
So there you have it! May the luck of the Irish be with us all tomorrow (St. Patrick’s Day!) as we try to make our very first Be Our Guest Breakfast Advance Dining Reservations! Woooooo!!
Are you excited for the opportunity to start your day at Be Our Guest Restaurant? Please let us know with a comment!
ALL DETAILS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE!
AJ says
ch — The twist is that the “prix fixe” part pretty much just refers to the accompaniments. You still have your choice of the whole menu for your entree.
Lou says
The price is high because you can’t just get an entree by itself. I hope they just make it ala cart after this test phase. Looking up prices for similar items at Grand Floridian Cafe (table service and eligible for TIW) eggs Benedict, pastry basket and coffee press pot would be $24. The kids would be only $6-7. I’ll skip it for now and eat on the boardwalk or at the Poly.
Porter says
$20 buck for waffles is too much even for Disney.
Mom of 5 says
For the price it better include some character experience!
Stephanie says
the menu is MUCH smaller than posted.
Not sure if my wife or kiddo will eat anything there :-/
Allison says
Thank you for this update! I just made a reservation for two at 8:10 on May 18th. While I am admittedly not super psyched about the menu, it will give me an opportunity to be in the park before it opens, and it will be a nice experience being back in the castle. As always, I can’t wait for your review. Seriously, I will be checking every day starting March 20th. 🙂
Luana says
Made my reservation at 7:00 this morning. I will be there on May 19th for breakfast!! Having dinner with the Beast on Friday, the 22nd and then will party all night long!! 🙂
Christian says
We just booked our stay last night and just assumed we wouldn’t be able to get in BOG. Lo and behold, when we called this morning for ADRs, they asked if we were calling for breakfast at BOG. We weren’t at first, but we were then. Can’t wait. Sometimes Disney magic happens at random and unexpected times.
Janet Sala says
Just booked our Breakfast at Be Our Guest for 4/24!!!
Heidi says
I’m beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to eat at Be Our Guest now for our trip next month. I made a reservation as soon as I woke up.
Amanda S says
I scheduled for 8:10am on 5/28. It is an early EMH day, but we aren’t staying onsite. Any idea when we will be allowed to enter?
Phyllis says
Pix Fixe is leading to questions, particularly since folks will try to use ADR’s for early entry to the parks. The other breakfasts – everyone is charged, eat or not and since this is a flat price it makes it look like it might be the same here.
– Can Adults share meals? Maybe a table of 4 just order one meal (with unlimited drink) to get through the front gate sooner? Eat fast and be at low cost any be steps from 7DMT and Elsa & Anna.
– Can Adults order kids’ meals? It’s possible other counter service but again this seems to be a way around rope drop, and certainly is a QS location like no other.
For the record, not planning on doing either and for availability for ADRs I would be fine if everyone who enters is charged the appropriate rate.
Julie H. says
The breakfast prices are outrageous, even for Disney! I mean really, $20 bucks for a donut? The counter service breakfast cost is not even in league with their lunch prices at Be Our Guest. The prices are more in line with their table service dinner option. They should include characters and/or a photo session for this rate. Otherwise, they need to get aligned with the rest of the quick service counter meal prices throughout Disney World.
Destini says
Regardless of how the menu look my 5 yr old daughter is SUPER excited about eating at this place got reservations for April 8th breakfast yay!!!!
Michelle says
For $20 per person it needs to include more food on the plate. By looking at the pics everyone will leave there starving. (a donught & banana is not an entree) those pics look like appetizers. Adding characters to this would make it look somewhat better.
Alvaro says
Yessss!!!!
Just confirmed my reservation for Breakfast today! I am going to WDW in June and the reservation email confirmation already came especifying that it is for Breakfast!!!
Very anxious!!! Good luck to you all!
Christina says
For $20 you’re getting an entire meal – entree, drink and pastries. Seems like typical Disney pricing. Everything’s more expensive in the World.
Mel says
We have a reservation on Day 1!! May 20th at 8:35 a.m.!! My daughter emailed me on Monday about it and suggested I try Tuesday morning, and I got it. It just so happened that Friday is the day we had planned for MK anyway (we leave tomorrow)
Angelina says
$20 is a lot!!! Do they get you anything else besides the “entrée”?
Nicole says
I emailed disney and asked if we were 2 adults paying out of pocket for breakfast if we could order off of the kids menu and this was their response…”Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort. You may order from the children’s menu and you will pay according to the menu item price.” The kids menu just sounds more appealing to us.
Mariessa says
Hi … Does anyone know if I just want to try dessert to go from Be Our Guest lunch should I still make a reservation for lunch?
AJ says
Mariessa — Yes, that would be the only way to get a dessert 🙁
Troy says
Is “The Grey Stuff” Available for Breakfast? Its not on the menu but is there a way to buy it? Will be there May 2 8:00 AM.
Amy says
We are going to Disney in September and booked the free quick service dining plan. Can you use a quick service credit for Be Our Guest breakfast? I’ve read you can only use a credit for lunch but to me it looks like you can use one for breakfast on the Disney page where you make reservations.
Brooke says
Amy — Yes, Be Our Guest Breakfast is considered a Quick Service option.
sally finley says
They are extending BOG Breakfast at least through December starting this week. They are testing button now online.
Mindy says
If I am NOT on the Dining Plan, can I order from the kids menu for breakfast?
Brooke says
MindyF76 — We didn’t have any problems ordering from the kids’ menu.
