If not, then lemme tell ya. We loved it a LOT. But since there’s a new sipping spot/coffee joint in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland with Joffrey’s Revive Coffee Kiosk, the offerings at Auntie Gravity’s (also located in Tomorrowland) have changed up a bit.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I think Joffrey’s Revive is a terrific addition to Magic Kingdom. But I have to admit I was bummed to find that one of the subsequent changes was the removal of Iced Coffee Floats from Auntie Gravity’s.

So, with that, it’s time to find a different sipper from Auntie (who still serves up soft-serve ice cream, too, by the way).

Fortunately, she still has a few tricks up her sleeve, as Auntie Gravity’s is one of the few spots where you can find Smoothies, available in Raspberry or Strawberry. [Read more…]

News! Updated Menus Now Available for 2017 Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic

We first told you the dates and details for the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic — one of our favorite food events of the year — way back in January!

This event ALWAYS gets tons of kudos from our readers!

The event, which takes place one weekend during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, is back again in 2017. Mark your calendars for Friday, October 27, and Saturday, October 28!

This event may only be two days long, but there’s a lot of wonderful eating and drinking to pack into that time.

The Food and Wine Classic offers guests informative and fun food and beverage seminars on a wide range of topics. We’ve enjoyed learning about mixology and all about Champagne in the past.

And food topics like how to make pasta are delicious and educational! To see the full list with descriptions of each, check out our Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic Seminar Page.

But today, we’re excited to bring you the full menus for this year’s Causeway Event.

More than 50 Tasting Stations will be set up along the scenic Causeway between the Swan and Dolphin Resorts.

Booths will feature tasting plates from the resort’s 17 different restaurants and lounges, and more than 30 wineries from all over the world will offer pairings for the dishes. Craft breweries are also well represented, and live entertainment keeps the party going all evening long, as day fades into night. [Read more…]

You know how we feel about Dole Whip. It’s a love/love relationship. And Dole Whip loves us back by being so delicious.

So we were pretty excited when we discovered Pineapple-Flavored Cotton Candy at Disney California Adventure while there for the DCA Food and Wine Festival. (You’ll recognize Pineapple-Flavored Cotton Candy by the white and pale yellow stripes.)

A New Dole Whip And Rum Smoothie Spotted in Disney World! Guess Where!

(Mental note: we need a secret, underground alert system for Dole Whip news.) Walt Disney World’s Art of Animation Resort, with its enormous Big Blue (Nemo-inspired) Pool and totally groovy theming, now has an alcoholic Dole Whip drink (and a non-alcoholic option!).

News! 2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Eat to the Beat Concert Preliminary Bands

It’s that time of year again, Epcot Food and Wine Festival Fans!

You know that here at DFB we pride ourselves on reporting Epcot Food and Wine Festival Info just as soon as we have it! And today, we’re sharing with you a look at the VERY FIRST artists you can expect to return for the 2017 Eat to the Beat concert series!

Just in case you’re new to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, lemme tell you a little about what all this means. Eat to the Beat is a concert series that takes place during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, which runs this year from August 31-November 13. The series features musical acts from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s each year, and concerts take place most evenings of the Festival.

Since this partial list is preliminary, be sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for additions and/or changes to the schedule! We will bring you all the latest news first!

Eat to the Beat concerts are performed three times per evening, so you have three opportunities every night to see your favorite acts — at 5:30PM, 6:45PM, and 8:00PM.

All concerts take place in the American Gardens Theater at Epcot’s America Pavilion. Concerts are “free” — included in the price of your Epcot admission!

Review: Casey’s Corner Chili-Cheese Dog with Shredded Cheese

And it’s certainly long been a staple for us here at the DFB! You may recall when we took on the challenge of sampling all of the spot’s Specialty Hot Dogs, which included the Chili-Cheese Dog. Though the specialty dogs themselves have seen their fair share of changes (especially thanks to the new monthly rotation of Featured Hot Dogs for 2017), the Chili-Cheese Hot Dog has remained a solid standby.

But even standbys can change, and you’re about to see how this one has, too.

Our story begins when Plastic Cheese was removed from Counter Service locations all over Disney World. And while this isn’t exactly “news” anymore, we’re still seeing — and, frankly, emotionally processing — the effects of that change.

One of those changes, as you might anticipate, occurred with the Chili-Cheese Hot Dog at Casey’s. And I’d been kiiiiind of putting off this review because — SPOILER ALERT — I figured, right off the bat (Casey’s baseball pun not intended… much), that my enjoyment would likely be diminished.
