Review: Salted Oatmeal Cornflake Cookie, Brownie, and Cap’n Crunch Ice Cream Sandwich at Sprinkles in Disney Springs
::Gasp!:: OK, I know that’s a LONG title…but I HAD to let you know what we’re in for!
I stopped by the new Sprinkles in Disney Springs on my recent trip to Walt Disney World. And I seriously could not. Stop. Trying new things.
You already know about their fantastic Cupcakes. And we’ve also shared our impressions of their Sundae — homemade Ice Cream craftily layered with your choice of Cupcake, so you get a lil bit of everything in every bite. HEAVEN.
But guess what? There’s even more!
I just shared those incredible Seasonal Cupcakes with you. (If the Lemon Meringue and the German Chocolate Cupcakes are gone when you’re there, look for the Caramel Apple and S’mores versions for Fall!)
But I’ve gotta come clean. That’s not all I tried while I was in town.
Because they also offer one of my most favorite things ever: Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches.
You know I’m a big fan of Disney’s version of these. But wait, just wait, until you see the outrageousness that awaited us at Sprinkles.
Let’s Go.
Salted Oatmeal Cornflake Cookie and Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich with Cap’n Crunch Ice Cream(!!!!!)
So the amazing thing about the Sprinkles Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich is that it’s totally customizable. Name your cookies. Name your ice cream. Mix and match to your heart’s content.
I’ve already offered you a little foreshadowing of what awaits. But let’s back up a little, because I want to show you how your Cookies come to you if you just order one solo. [Read more…]

News: Haunted Mansion Hitchhiking Ghosts Tiki Mug in Disney World and Disneyland
We had an absolute blast at the Behind the Scenes at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto event at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort this week!
And are looking forward to sharing all the details about this new Special Event for the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival in a review here soon.
But there was one thing from the event we simply couldn’t wait to share. We got a glimpse of the Haunted Mansion Hitchhiking Ghosts Tiki Mug that’s on the way to Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto!
In case you missed the hype, the Haunted Mansion Hitchhiking Ghosts Tiki Mug has already come to — and gone from — Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar in Disneyland. The mug sold out completely on its very first day (to the tune of two-hour wait times for Disneyland guests). And you can see why… it’s Completely. Freakin’. Incredible.
According to sources, it will be restocked in Disneyland’s Trader Sam’s, but not until “closer to Halloween.” [Read more…]
Review: Candied Peanuts with Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Ice Cream at Epcot’s L’Artisan des Glaces
They’ve done it again, my friends!
We’re back at L’Artisan des Glaces to check out their newest flavor of house-made ice cream.
Even the name is quite a mouthful (almost as much as the Cinnamon, Caramelized Apple & Crumble Crunch), but we think you’ll find it’s worth taking the time to place your order 😉 .
So, remember this name: because it’s time to try some Candied Peanuts with Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Ice Cream!
First thing’s first, though. Let’s head into this lovely little ice cream shop in Epcot’s France Pavilion…
… and look for the new flavor listed on the menu among the 16 currently featured flavors of ice cream and sorbet, all made in-house. [Read more…]

2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival: Festival Center Tour and Festival Merchandise
The 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is officially underway!
We spent the better part of last week taking a look at all there is going on this year, and shared with you our Best of the Fest so far. And we aren’t finished yet!
We’ll be sharing our reviews of Marketplace Booths as well as impressions of some of the Special Events taking place throughout the Festival.
And speaking of special events, many of them take place in Festival Center, which serves as the headquarters for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. But there’s more to the space than just stages for Culinary Demos and Beverage Seminars.
We are eager to share with you all that the Festival Center offers this year. Let’s head in and take a tour of the space. Along the way, I’ll also share with you some merchandise we spotted for 2016.
The 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Center
You’ll find the Festival Center located to the left as you enter Epcot and pass beneath Spaceship Earth. Head toward the old Wonders of Life Pavilion in Future World East, and you’ll be going in the right direction.
Enter and head left or right down the easily accessible ramp, and you’ll come to the Information Desk. This is your first stop if you have questions, but it’s also where you’ll pick up tickets for events taking place in Festival Center. These include Culinary Demos, Beverage Seminars, and several other special events. [Read more…]
News: Disney World Joffrey’s Kiosks Serving Coffee for a Dollar on September 29th for National Coffee Day
Over the years we’ve been known to celebrate National Margarita Day, National Root Beer Float Day, National Pie Day, and National Mojito Day here on the DFB.
But on Thursday, September 29th, we won’t be the only ones celebrating National Coffee Day. Joffrey’s Coffee Kiosks will be helping guests throughout Walt Disney World celebrate, too… with one dollar cups of coffee!!
That’s right! Grab a 16 ounce cup of hot coffee or a 24 ounce cup of iced coffee for a buck at any Joffrey’s Coffee location in Walt Disney World.
Here’s a look at just a few of the several Joffrey’s Coffee Kiosks around Disney World so you can know where to be on the lookout.
Find this one at the Transportation and Ticket Center while on your way to Magic Kingdom or Epcot.
The Joffrey’s kiosks at Hollywood Studios have some of the best theming, like this one located outside of the Tower of Terror.
Did you know that Royal Anandapur Tea Company in Animal Kingdom is a Joffrey’s spot?
And Epcot has several locations in the park in both Future World and World Showcase like the American Adventure kiosk.
Don’t forget that select Joffrey’s Kiosks in Epcot are serving specialty beverages for the 2016 Food and Wine Festival!
(Not for a buck, though. 😉 )
So whether you’re sampling one of Joffrey’s specialty beverages for the Festival in Epcot, or looking for a dollar cup of Joe in or around the parks, September 29th is looking like the perfect day to stop by a Joffrey’s Coffee Kiosk in Disney World!
Have you tried Joffrey’s Coffee in Disney World yet? Please let us know with a comment!
