It has been a HUGE week for Star Wars fans.
We finally got our FIRST trailer for an upcoming Star Wars series, The Acolyte, which is coming to Disney+ in June. We got new details about Disneyland’s Season of the Force (which sounds AMAZING). Disney World certainly comes up with some unique restaurant ideas.
Just think about it: you’ve got Sci-Fi Dine-In at Hollywood Studios, a restaurant where you can sit in a “car” and watch old movies while dining on burgers and fries. Then you’ve got Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom that takes you on a culinary adventure worthy of the Jungle Cruise. However, the concept behind Space 220 in EPCOT might be the most unique because it takes you to “space” to dine among the stars. Well, here’s the thing — a REAL LIFE Space 220 restaurant is on the way.
We’re getting “closer and closer every day” to the grand opening of Disney’s newest ride, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. In fact, dare we say, the ride is “Almost There?” 😀
We’ve learned so much about the ride, including what its story will be like, what kind of music it will have, and even what the Tiana animatronic will look like (and she looks INCREDIBLE). We’ve been following how the red stone of Splash Mountain was converted into greenery with white flowers, and we’ve watched some ride testing. But there’s one key thing we don’t hear a lot of folks talking about: the queue.
The Walt Disney Company’s proxy battle is continuing to heat up.
The Walt Disney Company is in the midst of a proxy battle — and people have started voicing support for Disney. Currently, The company is facing off against activist investor Nelson Peltz, who is attempting to get a seat on the Board of Directors. We have seen Disney actively speak out against Pletz — going as far as releasing a video explaining why Peltz would not be a good fit for the company and urging investors to vote for the Disney-backed candidates instead. Since then, we have seen a number of celebrities show their support for Disney in this battle. [Read more…]
Disney World definitely proves the saying, “The only constant is change!”
When that change happens, we see some of our favorite attractions, shops, and even restaurants go away. Over the past couple of years in particular, though, there have been a few “cult favorite” attractions that have had permanent closures. Can you remember their names? Let’s talk about it!
