Given that the month ends with Halloween, it’s no surprise that October is a time of delicious treats all around Walt Disney World. That extends to Disney Springs, where three of the shopping complex’s most popular locations are offering special limited-time menu offerings for the month.

After a recent wave of layoffs of about 300 employees at the Walt Disney Company, Disney is looking to lay off even more employees.

The most recent round of layoffs within the company’s corporate operations included individuals in legal, HR, finance, and communications. At the time, no employees part of Parks, ESPN, or Disney Entertainment were laid off. However, approximately 75 individuals within a different department were just notified of a reduction of staff.

In August, The Walt Disney Company held its third-quarter earnings call. During this call, Disney revealed that the price for Disney+ would go up and their big plans for ESPN. Also during this call they also discussed that attendance in the parks was down, but they were confident that attendance would soon rise as they plan to add more IP (intellectual property) throughout the parks. This proved to be the case, during D23 almost every project announced for Disney World revolved around an IP. We now know the date for the final earnings call of the year.

Since EPCOT opened some 42 years ago, the park — Walt Disney World’s second gate — has been a fan favorite. Due to this love affair, many guests want to bring home souvenirs and keepsakes for themselves or their loved ones. So, what are the best options to pick up from EPCOT? That means we’ll go from pumpkins to Christmas trees all around the parks and hotels. Disney has two special holiday events — Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Jollywood Nights was a new event in 2023, and it is returning this year with even more new entertainment and merchandise. We wish we didn’t have to wait until November to enjoy this holiday party. But luckily, we got an early sneak peek!
