Happy Halloween, DFB friends!
This is one of our favorite times of year to be in Disney World. The spooky — and ADORABLE — Halloween decorations are up in Magic Kingdom. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is underway (but completely sold out for the year). Spooky season is the BEST. But the BEST part of spooky season isn’t the decor and parties…oh, no, the best part is THE SNACKS (you knew we’d say that, didn’t you?). Now, even the crêpes in EPCOT are jumping on the Halloween train.

Magic Kingdom
Disney World’s stabilized this week after shooting up last week… with ONE major exception. TRON Lightcycle / Run continues to dominate the resort’s wait times since the standby line was introduced to the attraction. This week, the ride’s wait time was over 80 minutes, cleaning the rest of the resort’s rides by over 10 minutes.

This week, we got the 4-1-1 on a fan-favorite character coming to EPCOT, a Disney Springs store finally reopening after a month-long closure, and a popular special ticketed event getting completely sold out! Sometimes, the weather just won’t behave. It can be too hot, too cold (YES, it happens), or it could be rainy (especially during hurricane season). Sometimes, rides close due to weather. Sometimes, rides just close for other reasons. Sometimes, you’re ON a ride when it closes, and you have to be evacuated from that ride. Well, that happened to us recently on two different rides ON THE SAME DAY.
Although the U.S. is just starting to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, which affected states as far inland as Tennessee and prompted a Tornado Watch and Tropical Storm Warning in Disney World, there are some other potential storms forming in the Atlantic Ocean.

One of these storms has the potential to become severe, and forecasters are watching it carefully. Its path could take it through the Gulf of Mexico, so let’s take a look at it.
Okay, it’s official, we have Moana fever right now!

First, we’re just happy we can meet her in Disney World (and we like to say hi to her every chance we can get). We also LOVE Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana. Mostly, though, we are HYPED for Moana 2, which will premiere in theaters on November 27th. Ahead of the movie’s debut, a TON of new Moana 2 merchandise is now available online. So let’s grab those credit cards and get to shopping!

It’s no secret that a trip to Orlando’s tourist destinations can be an expensive proposition. Whether heading to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, or one of the area’s other tourist destinations, many travelers do their best to save wherever they can. Which in turn means that anyone who’s flying into Orlando will likely be looking for the cheapest possible flight. After digging into some research, we think these two airlines often have the cheapest flights to Orlando.
It’s been…a week in Disney World. We’ve spent a lot of it tracking Hurricane Helene and staying updated on closures and cancellations at the resort.
Pumpkin ice cream is back.
We did, however, celebrate the reopening of a Starbucks and the return of pumpkin ice cream (even if it left us a little disappointed). We also got the full list of snacks and drinks coming to this year’s Jollywood Nights (and it is a LOT). As always, we also kept a close eye on Disney World restaurant menus, and we’ve got some menu updates to share with you this week.
We’ve seen some pretty amazing Disney dolls — Disney just KNOWS how to get doll collectors (and even those of us who aren’t collectors) excited about new doll releases.
Moana
We’re still losing our minds over the Midnight Masquerade designer dolls (they just look SO cool with so many gorgeous details). We couldn’t stop oohing and aahing over the Designer Tiana Doll. The Designer Collection dolls are also SO beautiful. But we think we may have found a doll we cannot resist. One, it’s an American Girl doll, which will make it VERY popular. Two, it’s a MOANA American Girl Doll — and just wait until you see her.
