Throughout the parks, you’ll get to take in the sight of gorgeous holiday decor, try some delicious and comforting treats, and celebrate the spirit of togetherness and giving with beloved Disney characters. A fan-favorite offering for many visitors who are in the parks around Christmastime is EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional, where attendees can hear the retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator, a 50-piece orchestra, and Disney’s very own Voices of Liberty choir. What’s even BETTER is that there are dining packages available each year for the event!

Well, according to Disney World, anyway. The EPCOT Festival of the Holidays will be here before we know it, and we’ve seen a few hints here and there about what we can expect. And, we just learned that one of our favorite parts of this jolly festival is returning this year — here’s what we know!
Your flight’s been canceled and all your Disney reservations are now messed up. You go to pay for a meal and your card gets declined. You head to the bus stop to get back to your hotel and the buses…are nonexistent??

But sometimes, that means we have to say goodbye to some of our favorite attractions. Whether it’s permanent or temporary, nothing stings worse than getting to the park only to realize that the ride you’ve been dreaming about is closed. And if you’ve got a trip to EPCOT planned, there’s an upcoming closure you need to know about.
All sorts of exciting things have been happening at Disney World lately, now that we are entering the BEST months of the year.
It’s fall!
That’s right, we’re headed into fall, which means we are looking forward to Halloween, Thanksgiving, AND the winter holiday season. We’ve already gotten a glimpse at some of the treats that will soon pop up in the parks and hotels at Disney World for the fall and winter holidays, and we’ve been looking forward to all the treats that we will soon be able to try. Now, though, we’re going to have to add to that list. Why?
Every so often, we see rides shut down temporarily in Disney World.
Space Mountain is notoriously closed.
Rides can stop for many reasons. In EPCOT you’ll see Test Track close any time a cloud comes near it (not really, but sometimes it feels like it!). Space Mountain seems to have technical difficulties quite often, and sometimes things just happen that cause you to get stuck on the ride and we may never know why. The other day a friend of ours was over in Magic Kingdom when this happened to them!

Are you traveling to Disney World this fall?
However, we are going to slightly alter that statement. If you want to TRULY test the strength of your relationship with someone, you should travel with them and figure out crowded parking garages and lots with them. Luckily, if you visit Disney World, that knocks out both! Friends who go to Disney together stay together, right? Well, speaking of parking, we have some unfortunate news for you and your relationships. There have been a couple changes to some parking situations, and we’re here to offer a word of warning.
