As Hurricane Milton gets closer to landfall, Florida is preparing for high winds and potential flooding.

Orlando International Airport has currently ceased commercial flights, although it remains open to flights dedicated to emergency, aid, and relief. Today, October 9th, Disney World closed early and will remain closed through tomorrow, October 10th. That means that many guests will be riding out the hurricane in their Disney World hotel rooms. Ahead of the storm, though, we saw Disney World beginning to prepare at Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs.

If you’re heading to Disneyland Resort, you might be considering paying money to “skip the lines!”

Disneyland Resort’s skip-the-line system is called Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass, and it allows you to pay per person to use the Lightning Lanes at the available attractions in the parks. Lightning Lanes will typically give you a much shorter wait time than a regular standby queue, so paying the extra cost may save you significant time during your trip…but what if that price got more expensive?

Disney World has already begun a phased closing of its theme parks today, October 9th, with Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney Springs closing at 2PM. Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom both closed at 1PM.
