Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort is in the midst of major changes. Construction continues on the Resort’s upcoming 500 guest room Tower as well as the Villa del Lago on-the-water restaurant.
Further changes include the recent transformation of Rix Lounge into Rix Sports Bar & Grill. And now, there is another change to report. If you search on Disney World’s website or My Disney Experience app for Pepper Market — the Counter Service option for Coronado Springs Resort — your search results will come up empty.
That’s because the Pepper Market appears to have undergone a name change to El Mercado de Coronado!
The above screenshot with the updated name is from the My Disney Experience app.
Coronado Springs Resort remains one to watch as this major transition moves forward. Read more about the changes coming to Coronado Springs Resort here.

CSR has always been our favorite resort. We love the grounds , atmosphere and a high end moderate. At one time the food in Pepper Market was really good to the point where we would frequently wait to eat until we got back . Then it changed drastically to “cardboard food” so we stopped going and too much construction. Now however we will definitely go back to experience everything and it will probably be # 1 on our list again. Let’s hope a new name will also bring a new taste! The food can definitely make or break a resort.
