runDisney Virtual Love on the Run 14-Miler

A NEW virtual run series is making its debut from February 1 – 28, 2025: the Love on the Run 14-Miler combines THREE virtual races (a 2-miler, 5-miler and 7-miler to total 14 miles) and will celebrate love and friendship featuring “Disney and Pixar duos.”

runDisney Summer Virtual Series

The 2024 runDisney Summer Virtual Series ran (HA!) from June 1, 2024 – August 31, 2024. Stay tuned for 2025 dates! Virtual Series participants complete a 5K of their choice (from three events) at home on their own schedule and receive a medal for their efforts. Participants who complete all three 5Ks receive an additional series completion medal! The 2024 theme was near and dear to our hearts: Disney Snacks! 

Registration for the 2024 runDisney Virtual Series opened on March 26th, 2024 at 10AM on runDisney.com. Stay tuned for 2025 registration info!

In addition to finisher medals for each individual race (and an additional medal and keepsake for participants who complete all three 5K races as part of the Virtual Challenge), participants receive:

• Downloads for a themed bib and finisher certificate
• Downloads for an at-home themed kit that includes a start line, finish line and mile markers

Remember: Participants must register for the runDisney Virtual Challenge to be eligible for the Challenge medal.

Below you’ll find the 2024 themes and medals. Stay tuned for 2025 info!

Three individual 5K races that make up this series. The first is the Mickey Mouse Waffle 5K, themed to the classic Disney breakfast item!

The next one is the Mickey Mouse Bar 5K, which is of course themed to one of the most iconic frozen treats ever.

Finally, there’s the Minnie Mouse Candy Apple 5K!

Each individual 5K race costs $54, but if you can’t pick just one, you can instead complete the Pineapple Whip Soft Serve Challenge.

Again, Challenge participants run all three races and receive all the medals, PLUS their own Challenge medal! They’ll also get a runDisney virtual series keepsake and a Mickey Mouse Ear Hat Snack Bowl. The Pineapple Whip Soft Serve Challenge costs $176.

2024 runDisney 12Ks of Christmas Virtual Series

For the 2023 holiday season, a virtual run series dubbed the 12Ks of Christmas made its debut, and it will run again (HA!) from December 1-31, 2024!

This first-of-its-kind race series features three 4K running events (which is 12Ks total) as a challenge — all hosted by fan-favorite Disney characters as the mascots! Participants receive race memorabilia, including a participant sweatshirt, a holiday CORKCICLE® mug and a box of Twinings® holiday tea, and themed medals (which DOUBLE as ornaments!) to commemorate your success.

Participants will receive one medal per 4K, and one Challenge medal for a total of FOUR!

The cost for the Christmas Virtual Series Challenge is $267.00 for all three races. Registration for the 2024 runDisney 12Ks of Christmas Virtual Series opened on July 9th, 2024 on rundisney.com. 

runDisney Virtual 5K 2024 — Donald and Daisy

Per runDisney: “Gather your flock! During the runDisney Virtual 4K: Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, pick your own path and experience 2.49 miles of magic hosted by your fine feathered friends.!

runDisney Virtual 5K 2024 — Pluto

Per runDisney: “Doggone! During the runDisney Virtual 4K: Pluto, pick your own path and experience 2.49 miles of magic hosted by Mickey Mouse’s best friend.”

runDisney Virtual 5K 2024 — Goofy

Per runDisney: “Gawrsh! During the runDisney Virtual 4K: Goofy, pick your own path and experience 2.49 miles of magic hosted by your funny friend, Goofy.”
