We all know that Disney has really, seriously upped their game where coffee is concerned. Gone are the days when you couldn’t get a decent cup of coffee in the ‘World. And a lot of the credit for the transformation goes to Joffrey’s.

While you may be most familiar with Joffrey’s for the numerous kiosks that they operate throughout the Parks, their presence at Disney goes a lot further than that.

Stop for that morning latte or Americano at Contemporary Grounds, and you’re drinking Joffrey’s. Or the next time you savor that special roast at your favorite Disney Signature Restaurant, and you’ll be happy to know that Joffrey’s is responsible.

Happy, why? Because you can now also take their signature roasts home with you, thus extending the deliciousness of your vacay just a wee bit longer. [Read more…]

Sure, Eating and Drinking Around the World is a MUST DO at the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. But don’t forget to save time for the shopping too!

2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Review: Rockin’ Burger Block Party

Today, we are heading back to the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival for a look at a brand new Special Event!

One of the new events introduced this year is the Rockin’ Burger Block Party, and DFB has been at two of the parties.

Join us today as we share our experience, which includes visits with a few celebrity guests and an incredible variety of burgers.

And if you like what you see, there are still tickets left for the November 6th Party, which features Cake Boss Buddy Valastro! Just call (407) 939-3378 to make your reservations.

The Rockin’ Burger Block Party sounds like it might take place outside…but no.

The event is held in World ShowPlace, the events pavilion that’s tucked away behind giant doors in World Showcase. If you haven’t been there before, you’ll find the entrance between the Canada and UK Pavilions.

Just look for the Events Cast Members, and they’ll point the way!

We’re spending a leisurely afternoon at the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!

While we love taking a turn around World Showcase to try all the great eats, it’s always fun to take in a few of the Festival’s Special Events each year as well. And you can always count on a terrific experience when you book events in Epcot’s France Pavilion.

Join us today as we head up the spiral staircase for a special Parisian Afternoon at Monsieur Paul.

is a hidden gem in Epcot’s France Pavilion. Nope — I’m not speaking figuratively. I mean, it’s actually hidden. To find it, head back through France as though you’re going to visit Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie. It’s a little easier to find than it used to be, though, thanks to the awning that bears the restaurant’s name.

Epcot Food and Wine Festival: Our Favorite Gluten Free Dishes for 2015

Sometimes, eating with food sensitivities or dietary preferences can be a bit of a drag. And that’s never more the case than when you’re on vacation.

But once again this year, Disney is taking its commitment to offering gluten free options seriously at the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

To that end, not only will you find some delicious dishes that don’t contain gluten; they’re clearly marked in the free Food and Wine Festival Passports that you can pick up at the Festival!

Today, we’re highlighting a few of the more interesting gluten free options that we’ve tried so far. And if you love sampling your way around the World sans gluten, check out our handy page listing ALL of the Festival’s gluten free options this year!

2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival: Festival Center Tour

The 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is officially underway!

We spent the better part of last week taking a look at all there is going on this year, and shared with you our Best of the Fest so far. And we aren’t finished yet!

In the coming days, look for reviews of many of the Marketplace Booths, and we’ll also be sharing with you impressions of some of the Special Events taking place throughout the Festival.

And speaking of special events, many of them take place in Festival Center, which serves as the headquarters for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. But there’s more to the space than just stages for Culinary Demos and Mixology Seminars.

Let’s head into Festival Center as we show you some returning features from previous years — and introduce you to a couple of enhancements that are making their first appearances in 2015.

You’ll find Festival Center located to the left as you enter Epcot and pass beneath Spaceship Earth. Head toward the old Wonders of Life Pavilion in Future World East, and you’ll be going in the right direction.

News: Enhancements Coming to Epcot Food and Wine Festival Chase Lounge

With the return of the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival THIS WEEK comes the return of the Chase Lounge exclusively for Chase Visa cardholders.

Once again, the Lounge will make its home in the American Adventure Pavilion, offering complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and a device charging station (and — as always — air conditioning 😉 ).

The Lounge will be open daily from 11:00 am to park close. Cast Members will be stationed outside to check your card and direct you into the Lounge for a bit of rest and relaxation as well as some great views of World Showcase and Spaceship Earth from the third floor of the Pavilion.

This year, a few new features will be added to the amenities as part of the 20th Anniversary celebration of the Festival. These enhancements will include

  • a desk dedicated to Festival Information,
  • a social media photo booth, and a station where Lounge visitors will be able to email recipes from the Festival
  • periodic animation sketch classes as well as caricature artists throughout the run of the Festival

We’re celebrating the best way we know how, with a trip all over Epcot to bring you the best of the best from the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!

It was a tough job gathering all of the goodies and pricing for you at each of the Marketplace Booths for this year’s festival, but hey… somebody’s gotta do it. Of course, we needed a little sustenance along the way ;). What better excuse to Eat and Drink our Way Around the World again this year!

How Using Your Disney Dining Plan at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival Just Got Better

We all know it: having the Disney Dining Plan while visiting the Epcot Food and Wine Festival can be pretty awesome.

Because, after all, in the past, you could save up your snack credits and use them to Eat Your Way Around the World. And the only thing better than the Food and Wine Festival is enjoying it for the price of your already-purchased Disney Dining Plan!

But if you can believe it, using your Disney Dining Plan at the Food and Wine Festival just got even better. Recent changes in how Disney Dining Plan credits can be spent will make enjoying all that the Food and Wine Marketplace Booths have to offer even more fun than before.

Turn Your Quick Service Meals Into Food and Wine Booth Eats!

This is probably the most exciting change to the Disney Dining Plan: you can now use your Quick Service Meal Credits to purchase up to three different snacks, and call it a meal!

There are rules about the way this works, however. In order to swap your Quick Service Meal Credit for snacks, you have to do it all in one transaction. So unfortunately, that means you can’t go to the Hawai’i Booth and order something, then mosey over to the Belgium Booth for something else.

But if you think about it in terms of your group or family pooling credits, it’s just a matter of logistics. After all, you can use Dad’s credits at the Canada Booth so that everyone can have their own Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. Then use Mom’s for three different items at another booth. And really — that’s pretty awesome. Because that soup has been known to incite family spoon feuds.

Culinary Demonstrations, Beverage Seminars, Mixology Seminars, and general admission for some special events will be bookable online at www.epcotfoodfestival.com as well as by phone.

Tables in Wonderland members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Golden Oak Residents will be eligible for a discount (per person, per event) for beverage and mixology seminars and culinary demos taking place Mon-Thurs during the festival.
