NEWS: The NOAA Predicts That the Extremely Active Hurricane Season Could See Up to 25 Storms

2020 has already shaped up to be a historic year for more than one reason! So why not add on a record-breaking hurricane season to spice things up?

We previously reported on Florida’s own hurricane season being upgraded from “active” to “hyperactive,” and now, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has upgraded their predictions for the 2020 hurricane season nationwide. This update comes just after Tropical Storm Isaias, the ninth named storm already this season, moved its way from Florida up the East Coast.

Mayor Demings Says Orange County Hotels May Be Used as Emergency Housing for Hurricane Isaias

As Hurricane Isaias takes aim at Florida’s east coast, the state is preparing for the arrival of the storm.

While Orange County officials aren’t expecting to feel much of the impact from Hurricane Isaias in the area, they’ve said they’re still prepared to weather the storm. Orange County is included in the state-of-emergency order issued by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

NEWS: Tropical Storm Isaias Is Expected to Become a Hurricane with Florida Remaining in the Potential Path

We’ve been keeping a close eye on the storm forecast for Florida this coming week.

Hurricane Skies in Disney World’s Epcot

This morning, a storm strengthened to officially become Tropical Storm Isaias. The storm continues to have Florida in it’s forecasted cone and now, the National Hurricane Center expects that it will strengthen to a category 1 hurricane this weekend.

News: Reopened Theme Parks Will Look “Drastically Different” According to Florida’s Orange County Mayor

Yesterday, Disney World shared that they plan to reopen Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom July 11th followed by Epcot and Hollywood Studios on July 15th.
