While Disney’s Animal Kingdom park celebrates the holiday season with its beautiful Merry Menagerie and EPCOT celebrates with its annual Festival of the Holidays event, Magic Kingdom gets the big, important Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party that is basically the STAR of Disney’s holiday lineup. But now, a NEW holiday event might just come along and knock old Magic Kingdom off its pedestal.Â

TRON Lightcycle / Run at night
TRON Lightcycle/Run opened in April and has been very popular. There are only two ways to ride it — Purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane or Joining the Virtual Queue. If you are planning on joining the virtual queue, you will need to move fast because the groups fill up seconds after it opens at 7AM. If you aren’t lucky enough to grab one then, the queue does reopen at 1PM for anyone currently inside the park, and we have seen this virtual queue window stay open a bit longer.

When Disney World reopened after the park closures, not all entertainment offerings came back at once. Disney announced that After Hours Events would be returning to the parks in January 2023, and that day is officially here! It has all kicked off at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so come with us as we see what crowds and wait times are like at the very FIRST returning After Hours Event!
